Great venue...groundskeepers, maintenance, vendors all do a fantastic job! No such thing as a bad seat and the prices are reasonable. Team always has some solid talent and provide a great escape from daily life. Great to have a AAA team in town!
Nice, family friendly park for the Iowa Cubs game. Easy to park and find. Park is right along the river next to several walking paths. During Iowa Cubs games, there is a kids play area for ages 5 and up.
An outstanding park for the family. I had seats on the first base line. Being a Chicago Sox fan I was leary on going but sure changed my mind after going. Great for families. It is worth a visit.
We love the I-Cubs...and I am a Yankee fan!!! My Chicago-Cubs-fan-husband and I bought a mini-pack season tickets for 2014 and could not have been more pleased. This park knows what it is doing to keep people coming back and the young talents on the team are so fun to watch! Concessions are spendier, but not compared to major league parks and WAY BETTER.(Hint: Get the foot-long hot dog or brat by the main gate...loaded with grilled peppers and onions: yum!) Did I mention the local craft brews or huge walk through beer cooler? Fun and different than your typical stuff. They atmosphere of the park is fun and lively with lots of stuff going on to keep those not excited about baseball entertained. For those baseball-lovers like us: GET THE MINI PAC!! For $100 bucks a seat, we got 10 great games with seats just down the 3rd base line, a parking pass to park in the lot right in front of the stadium and Cub Club access. The Cub Club is a great place to hang out for those early-freezing-spring games or to refresh in the air during those 100+ degree July days. For those of you non-locals...GO! This is probably the best minor-league park in the country.
Iowa Cubs has a great home in Principal Park. Love going and supporting the home team and feels like you are in a major league staduim. Without the large crowd and higher prices. When you plan your trip to Des Moines make time to caught a Iowa Cub game. You will be glad you did.
Fun, clean ballpark. Enjoy the atmosphere. Great for all age groups. Cant wait to go back again for another ICubs game.
Friendly vendors with good food (a little pricy). Ice Cold Beer readily available. easy parking. great seats no matter where you are!
The Iowa Cubs organization really know how to keep you in the game. The park is very fan friendly. They have free water coolers all around the concourse helping to keep the fans hydrated and safe. It is an outdoor event during the summer months so it will be a little hot but once you attend a game and figure out the perfect seating to stay cool it will make the games really worth while. The concessions a great, but expect to spend some money. A day or night at the game is a great way to spend time with the family.
We have gone to the Principal park several times and have enjoyed it every time. We were thrilled one night to greet and get the autograph of Ryan Sandberg of the Chicago Cubs, who has always been a favorite of ours. The usual concessions with the usual prices but it is a very fun time to take a family and watch a game.
Such a fun time for people of all ages in the summer! They have a nice fireworks show at night. There isn't a bad seat in the place
