The wine was fantastic! I really feel like this Italian hasnt been discovered yet in NM!
This is what it is all about. A true winery that processes only its own grapes... and gold medal after gold medal after gold medal and we are talking International golds! Beautiful tasting room and gift shop. Shouldn't be missed!! And, they will ship to you as well!
A little hard to fine on the access road west of town, but good wines and nice people. They also have a restaurant in Las Cruces and you can get a discount coupon for the restaurant if your going that way and ask.
The owner is fourth generation Italian wine maker from Northern Italy who fell in love, married a local and now makes southern NM's best red wines! All his wines are great but his reds are fantastic. The tasting room is relaxed and a pleadure to be in. Unless you like sweet wines avoid the other winery in Deming.
Delicious food, good wine, authentic Italian ingredients. Great place for lunch or dinner. Very welcoming atmosphere.
We toured the winery with a group and had a guide to the wine processing area. A very informative visit. The tasting room is beautiful and full of fun things to with wine. They offered food with some of the wines but that may not be available on a drop in visit.
First time - and definitely will come back-I did not have room for the beautiful looking gelato. We tried the antipasto and the pizza. Pizza with artichokes and prosciutto, with thin, delicate crust. We are local, sorry it took us so long to try Luna Rosa. Although we did not try the lasagna this trip, it looked like a picture out of Gourmet and a very healthy serving-to look forward to.
Luna Rossa is not to be missed if you are traveling SW New Mexico on I-10. Sylvia and Paolo are charming hosts and excellent vintners. Some evenings there is wood fired pizza. The tastings are free, and the wine is excellent, especially the reds. Don't miss the Nini. There are also occasional free concerts. The building is lovely and contains charming wine-related gifts, also.
After our third visit to Luna Rossa Winery we decided it was a pity it has not been mentioned on TripAdvisor and we are honored to be the first delighted reviewers.Paolo and Sylvia, the owners, are the most hospitable hosts. Paolo, a true Italian 100% original viticulturist and winemaker is a walking encyclopedia on anything that has to do with grapes and wine. He introduced many Italian grapes to the Southwest and his vast variety and high quality of wines exceeded our expectations. We are wine enthusiasts and we have traveled Europe and United States. In our effort to always try to experience local wines our discovery of Luna Rossa Winery seemed like we struck gold. The prove might be the gold, silver and bronze numerous International award winning medals from various wine competitions. The Luna Rossa Winery is very conveniently located just South of International HWY I-10 - exit 81 in Deming, New Mexico. It is well worth your stop!Enjoy the wines.Cheers!
Found it! Great wines this one no food at this one that's las cruses. Good selection of all local wines. Vineyard on location.
