Rivers has a nice central bar and a clean, festive atmosphere. Nice dining selections (Hugo's, Flipt, Asian, Deli) and nice people watching.
The place is beautiful and well planned. The food at Hugo's and Flip It were both good with Hugo's being a nice place for a special meal. The gambling is another story. I don't know anyone who did well and we certainly didn't. Very tight machines. The logistics are nice with the parking garage being well laid out and the lights above each space made it easy to find an empty spot. It was a nice outing if you go no great expectations to win.
Is a new casino for the area. Its up dated and the staff is very friendly and helpful.. Almost did not go here because of several reviews saying how awful the staff was and how tight the slots are. I play all over and prefer not to try to make money gambling. This can sway you outlook on the people working there..This is strictly for fun and I don't get angry drunk, this can also sway the way that the staff treats you..There is no smoking here which is a plus for me and a glass of wine was $5.50...Okay, its Chicago...Had fun and did not notice the slots being tight. Lost a bit , but still was a great evening, and had no problem with cashing my tickets..
I stopped at the noddles restaurant and the food was excellent. Atmosphere is nice but there are only a few tables and its a little crowded at lunch time. But the PHO Vietnamese Soup that I had was superb.Casino was fun too but lost money this time out. Lot's of slot machines and most are brand new with all the bells and whistles.I look forward to another trip to Rivers Casino.
I have a minimal set spend on the pokies as the Casino always wins - so went to Rivers for the restaurant food and atmosphere ! Good range of choices and prices, starting with Flipz burgers. Could sit and watch the large screen sport relaxing with a drink, as well ! Staff were helpful as I had some questions as an overseas visitor. I'll be back this year.
I had never been to this casino before and I enjoyed it. We decided to have dinner there and spent a small fortune for the buffet. I would go again but would definitely find different dining options!
The Rivers Casino is near Chicago IL and close to O'Hare International Airport. On my first visit to Rivers on a weekday afternoon, I found the casino to be busy, but far from crowded. There were plenty of table games (Blackjack, Craps, etc.) with $10 minimum bets. Late night and weekend visitors will likely see mostly $25 minimums. The slot machines are plentiful and do not make the loud noises like slot machines in Vegas. While convenient, the Rivers Casino lacks the ambiance of places like the Bellagio or the Wynn. Security is excellent and the staff are very helpful, well trained, and patient with newbies. If you don't mind gambling in a building which reminds you of a closed Walmart, this may be the place for you. Try hard to visit during week days. Enjoy.
Stayed and played for about 2 hours and lost every cent. Didn't see many people winning at all. The burger and hot dog in Flipz was very good. Most slots are 2cent denomination, so max bets are pretty high.
Why no poker room at Rivers Casino ? . I live in approximately five minutes away from Rivers Casino lots of friends and family and myself Drive all the way to the Horshoe casino in Indiana play poker it would be nice to have a poker room at the rivers and not have to drive so far The truth is most of my friends in the poker room in Indiana all live near the rivers casino hopefully there will be a poker room at the risk casino One day
For a late night meal it was convenient and was not able to gamble but the action seemed to be on going
