we went to this church on Sunday and enjoyed the mass it was so energetic the pastor really welcomed us, we wish we could go every week
Easy to locate, nice to visit, welcoming and peaceful. Beautiful church with glass stained walls depicting various pictures. There is a fountain outside and a outside garden / prayer area as well. overall, great to stop and take a peaceful break.
I am not catholic but I enjoyed the service a lot. I am not a contemporary service person but I sure enjoyed this one. Will visit again.
We were visiting Daytona this week and I told my husband this is the first time I saw a Catholic Church so high on Trip Advisor!! I'm so glad we went to mass here. Kids loved the priest!! Beautiful church, loved the stained glass wall! Amazing!!
They don't just say 'everyone is welcome,' they show it! Everyone was welcoming folks as they walked in. Asked if you were new/visiting, and were just overall welcoming.
We drive away from the nearest Catholic church to drive 8 miles to be members of Lourdes parish. We tried the closer church, but it has lttle to offer. We usually worship at the 11 AM liturgy which features contemporary Christian music...songs that I hear on local Christian radio. (Frankly, I find Christian radio rather boring...but the music is the same)As mentioned above, Father Phil is a dynamo. He gives a Sunday talk that is usually Bible-based and aimed at thinking Catholics...aimed to increase faith, Bible and contemporary social issues. He loves to quote Pope Francis on contemporary social topics. Yes, the parish is the largest participant in a social justice ministry of 30 other Black, Catholic and mainline Protestant churches (the closer Catholic church to our residence is notably a non-participant in the FAITH organization). The parish supports a Catholic school with about 300 students. Father Phil and the parish are against the Florida death penalty...a church that is pro-life cannot support this pro-death policy. The yearly Italian Festa is over. Unfortunarely, it was mostly a lousy weather weekend. Results for a lot of effort are not yet in. We actually had at least 3 meals of very good food brought home from the Festa...sausage & peppers sub/hoagie sandwiches were excellent, arancini, meatballs, pasta, cannoli were very good!
We have been attending Sunday Masses when in town. Feels like a throwback to 1970s with Pastor Fr. Phil leading a very dynamic and enthusiastic Mass weekly. My wife particularly enjoys it. Lots of singing, Mass & music words projected onto walls so easy to follow along. Invigorating and challenging spiritually at the same time.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church is like being at home... away from home. Close to A-1-A Beachside.
Beautifully welcoming atmosphere, contemporary music at mass with screens for lyrics. Architecture wooden with beautiful, large stained glass windows.
