从皇后镇出发，沿瓦卡蒂普湖一直向北，来到一片开阔地，格林诺奇。景色更加稀有和壮观。这里人非常少，对于习惯了热闹的我们来讲，很是享受。乘车一直可以开到路特本小径的出发地，从这里开始，你可以选择几个小时到几天不等的雨林跋涉之旅。不用担心安全问题，这里的环境一方面保护的很好，人不多，另一方面向导设施也做得很完善，一点不用担心迷路。途中有几个小木屋，根据你行程的长短选择住哪儿，是不是觉得太写意了。就是这样，有三到五个好友，体会一下远离城市的喧嚣，终生难忘。

We travelled in the middle of Feb. We had 3 perfect sunny days which allowed us great views at the top of the mountains. We used Buckleys Transport for our track transfers. We were really pleased with them. Martin kept us entertained on the way to the start and stopped in Te Anau for us to have a coffee and something to eat. He was waiting for us when we arrived at the Shelter at Glenorchy end and stopped in Glenorchy so we could have a coffee.It seems to be advertised that to go from Routeburn Shelter to the Divide is the normal way to go but there is no reason why you cannot go the other way which we did and were glad we went this way. We preferred to travel the nearly 4 hour trip from Queenstown to the Divide at the beginning and then only have to travel at the end back to Queenstown for nearly an hour. Plus the last day was an easy downhill walk on flat paths; a good way to wind down on the last day.We did the side trips of visiting the split rock near Lake MacKenzie Hut, Key Summit and Conical Hill. We swam in Lake MacKenzie and at Routeburn Falls. Really cold but very refreshing after a hot sunny day. The huts were very comfortable and had great outlooks.Lake MacKenzie sleeping quarters were nice and light to see, however the bunks cubicles in Routeburn Falls Hut were very dark; you needed your head torch. Toilets in both huts were really good; Routeburn Falls Hut even had separate mens and womans toilets.A spectacular walk; would highly recommend it.

We were really disorganised booking our Routbourn trek and didn't realise how busy it would be in February with Chinese New Year and the cricket! Was a beautiful 2 day hike made super easy by using Easy Hike to relocate our car! Easy hike were brilliant finding us a last minute driver and giving us car hire information (we got the last car left in queenstown!). The walk was stunning and highly recommend doing. We are both quite fit so found it relatively easy. We did this walk over 2 days and enjoyed it immensely.

A great walk for scenery, but if you are looking for a wilderness experience you won't get it here. A bit like a walk in a garden for three days. Non the less enjoyable and recommended. I was hoping to come back via the Greenstone track, but my friends wife jacked up on it. Hoping to do it one day before I get too old.

We did this as part of Ultimate Hike's classic walk (both the Milford and the Routeburn tracks). On this track it rained the first two days and was clear on the last. For me, I think it was better in the rain, despite the difficulty of taking photographs. Coming across the Hollyford face and up to the Harris Saddle and then the last little descent to the top of the Routeburn Falls was magnificent despite the cold. Another must do. (But do it in comfort with hot showers and three course meals at night, and hot drinks along the way.

Hiked from the Routeburn Shelter to the Divide over 3 days (2 nights). I have done plenty of hiking, and this walk is spectacular if not the prettiest I have ever done. The docs huts are very comfortable and include gas cookers. The whole family loved this walk, the daily swims and the beautiful scenery.

We did a day hike on this track from Glenorchy to the flats hut & back. The track is beautifully maintained and the scenery is just gorgeous. We passed a beautiful river canyon and saw a group of people on a canyon adventure jumping off the rocks, sliding down rocks, etc. looked fun! Overall a fantastic day spent hiking!

We walked this 3 day track in February and had variable weather. The first day to Mackenzie Hut it was snowing! The hut was full (campers were also indoors given the bad conditions) so the stove and drying racks were totally overcrowded, thankfully we had good waterproofs on and were fine except for very wet feet but a lot of people coming over the top were not so I would recommend checking the weather daily in advance so you can prepare. Saying that the second day walking to Routeburn Falls hut was stunning, the mountains were still snow capped and the sun was coming out, it was beautiful!None of the walk was overly challenging but the adverse weather did make it slippy in parts and made finding the track along the top slightly harder. We tried the walk to Conical Hill but the track was just too bad so gave up but the views would be worth it on a normal weather day.All of the huts were great with gas, running water and sleeping mats.We used a car relocation service called Ezi- Hike, their driver Toni took our car from the divide to the Falls side, would highly recommend this service they were extremely reliable and if time is precious not too much more expensive than the bus.A thoroughly enjoyable track, be prepared for all weather though (even in Summer!)

They have made tracks for few hours - upto four days where one can reach the summit near Milford Sound. Its dense , with river flowing by the side. exhilarating.Washroom at the entry point is very smelly.

Wonderful track! The most beautiful scenery I have ever seen in NZ, wonderful cabin/tent sites on Lake Mackenzie and at the Routeburn flats. Reasonably easy for people of all fitness levels, with huts every 7km or so, there was a 6 year old girl where we stayed! Very, very beautiful. I would recommend keeping a close eye on the weather and to book ahead. They only allow a certain number of campers every night which allows for a peaceful feeling wherever you go. Would recommend to all.
