The first day we arrived it was quiet until the weekend families checked in. The Camp Host very friendly and check on us several times during our stay. Take your own Fire Wood. Only 16 lakeside camp sites. Bathroom are clean and folks are friendly. Walmart 20 miles away. Don't leave anything because no shopping in town. No internet on site
Excellent location, clean facilities and beautiful scenery. The park is located in the Georgia Wiregrass region and is adjacent to Lake Seminole, home of some of the best bass, bream and shell cracker fishing in the area. Bring your camper and your boat for a relaxing getaway.
You must rent a cabin or camp here and see the sunset! The place is very well maintained. Large mouth bass fishing is wonderful! My only complaint is that the boardwalk needs to be repaired as it is not accessible and that's not noted when you begin the trail.
Did not overnight there, but visited the park and looked it over. Very nice park on the lake, swimming, camping, fishing, boat rentals, all the things one could want. I recommend it for a visit!
We were here the second week in march and we had a great time. The kids played on the playground while my husband fished. I would love to stay in one of the cabins one time.
We stayed in cabin number one. It was fantastic. It was clean, the beds were comfy, the sheets were soft and thank God it has a wonderful screened in porch with comfy rocking chairs. The only thing bad were the gnats...millions and millions of gnats. We could not even run to our car without being attacked. We tried the gnat spray but it did not work. A friend from Thomasville drove up and brought us a fan so we could grill. The customer service was wonderful and felt badly about the gnats but seriously what could they do. We will be back but will make a call first to see if the gnats have found a new park to play in.
it is peaceful but there really isnt much to it.... I mean swimming?? they have a small area that gets crowded fast. Scenery yes there is alot. Fishing beautiful and wonderful! but if your going for swimming you'll be disappointed.
This State Park is located in one of the most pristine setting ever. Frankly, though you are far from any night life, or any decent restaurant, it is well worth the trip. Clean, well run, cabin was very clean. Easy boat access. Wildlife viewing everywhere. Fishing very good.
Like North Florida, this part of Georgia will give you wonderful clean water, nice cabins, and temperate climates. The large thin trees (my favorite) are inviting and beautiful, and the water in this park is so wonderful, we were upset we forgot our swimsuits.
we love this park and this area and come back year after year. Restaurants around not so much, but quiet and peaceful.
