The 4 of us playing must have lost 10 balls total due to all the water surrounding us. The surrounding area was under renovation so it was a bit muddy and very busy with workers.
Our group rated this the second most popular course that we played and I agree. Loved the Blue though.
We played golf today on the Red Tiger course at Trump National Doral. Apparently the course has only been open for a month, but you would never know it. The condition of the course is superb from tee to green. The layout is sensational and very interesting and challenging. The water comes into play on most of the holes and on some holes, there is water on both sides, making the landing areas tight. The greens roll perfectly. It is not cheap to play and two rounds and two sets of clubs will set you back almost $700. Not sure why they need to charge $3 for a bottle of water that probably costs 30 cents. The other interesting thing is that there is nowhere to refill your sand buckets, so after a few holes, you can't repair your divots. They need to fix that fast. But honestly speaking, it was a great experience and worth every cent.
Nothing special, easy to play. The price / value ratio is OK for the twilight tee times.
Nothing to dislike however it was very hot the day we golfed. What I liked was it was a very challenging course but fun!
Not real impressive course, lots of water and bunkers everywhere!
veel water, niet eenvoudig, prachtig onderhouden. Een kleiner zusje van de Blue Monster. Wordt ook wel Red Tiger genoemd.
Nothing special that stuck out about the course, average, easy to play and we don't play golf very often..have definitely played prettier and harder courses elsewhere.. the GPS could be better, on other courses it shows where all the carts are on each hole, this one only shows where your cart is. Sales must have been down for the cart girl as the player assistant came around and told us some college guys ahead of us found her attractive so were holding up play ordering things from her.. i mean, did he really just say that to us couples? we didn't appreciate the play being held up whatever the case was, and we were sure to avoid her after that comment
Nice easy course without a lot of water or sand traps.
Nice easier course, sand traps, and water. We were glad to see that Trump did not change the courses since our April visit when it was under the Marriott. The golf carts are newer, but more annoying as they stop you in your tracks if you are too close to any areas you should not be in and they reduce speed when going past main areas. There is GPS. The service carts need updating in their appearance and offerings, but they made me a yummy Bloody Mary.
