This is a very nice place in great grounds.Real!y nice inside and don't forget to explore the area at the back of the church.Really nice statues and books of remembrance. The grounds especially by the river are superb.
If you are in Dunkeld, please visit. The grounds alone are worth it. The river flows fast but beautifully. Our daughter was married in the Cathedral ....spectacular, natural scenery made it a wonderful memory.
Rather unusual - part of the cathedral is derelict although being renovated - or at least stabilised, and can only be viewed from the outside. But the other part is still in use as the parish church! this is open to the public and I spent a very peaceful 15 minutes looked round, and seeing the small exhibition. Look out for the splendid military memorial behind the alter, erected in the 19th Century.
This place is a gem. Ancient artifacts, great stories if you have a good guide, beautiful architecture. Ask about the hidden vaults recently found under the floor.
Located in Dunkeld 15 miles north of PerthA very nice Cathedral, as Cathedrals go, not big.It has a small museum of interest and information about who built the Cathedral.nice architecture and clean and tidy. The Cathedral, the bridge and the village all have one man in common -visit and find out who it is - Outside Scotland or military circles he is not that well known.Find out by going on the internet.Nice village, Cathedral and a fast running river running through.worth a visit Cathedral, bridge and a visit to village just costs the fuel to get there last visited 2012
Lovely small cathedral that incorporates a small museum which gives you some interesting history. The cathedral is beautifully kept & is a very peaceful place. The stain glass windows are beautiful. Worth a visit.
A mixture between ruins and working! Small and tranquil with a real sense of history. It was not touristy in any sense and flet like a house of prayer
Very beautiful historical cathedral. Well kept grounds and situated with beautiful views. Visitor book available to sign, and prayer book available for providing requests for visitors and parishioners to offer thoughts and prayers for those mentioned. Great comfort.
We attended a funeral of a dear friend. There were snow showers that morning so the setting was idillic next to the Tey. Would have loved to spend more time there, it certainly helped being in such a beautiful place to say our fond farewells.
We paid a short visit to the Cathedral and it is a beautiful building, half of it is still currently used and the other half is currently being conserved by Historic Scotland. I think it is in the most perfect setting by the river with a backdrop of large trees. Really peaceful place.
