You can win or loose at any casino, but at least most offer a good experience while you're giving them your money. I've played at casinos all over the country and if you're looking for luxurious, or even minimally decent surroundings, look again. Very low ceilings, create a dark, dank and depressing atmosphere. Probably the nastiest casino I've ever been in except maybe a Quonset hut tribal casino in Oklahoma. I guess they have no competition, so they can offer patrons so little.
We enjoy coming to this casino when we get a chance. I've always had a little luck here and there are many of my favorite games plus other fun games to try. It has never been too crowded when we are here and there are many options for food, from a formal steak dinner to a light snack at the deli. There is a bar with live music for entertainment as well. Other restaurants and plenty of shopping nearby as well. Great place to spend a weekend. Easy access to major roads.
Friendly, helpful, and accommodating, the staff was never satisfied with their attempt to make us welcome.Found out that the winning slots were on the lower level.
I like the Craps table it's fun and entertaining, but I don't like some of their slot machines because you just sit there and nothing happens, but keep losing your money.
The dealers and others are mostly friendly and helpful. Close to the casino hotel and Hampton, with eating on site and close. Sometimes crowded & sometimes not, check for special events. Good rewards in terms of food & rooms if a bconnected member. Sometimes server may be slow, not usually.
We stayed here because of a free room from our host. Dropped a ton of money in the slots, no luck. Had much better luck at the Harrahs at Metropolis the next day. ONE GOOD THING: they have self service soft drink dispenser machins. Only trouble is that they only give out SMALL cups. How can you get one thing right, then mess it up. BRING A LARGE CUP IF YOU CAN.NO SMOKE on the floor we played, but there are smoking floors, so don't wander and expect SOME SMOKE. There is a sign on the door to the stern balcony that says NO SMOKING ON BALCONY, but people were smoking there, including bringing their cigarettes BACK INTO THE non-smoking area from both the stern balcony and the ladies room. Can't get away from it.
Drinks were pricey with no happy hour. Decor was dated and casino had a musty smell. Staff appeared busy, but were willing to help if you stopped them to ask a direct question. We didn't eat there, but the buffet looked decent from afar.Decent selection of slot machines. Not sure if I'd go here again.
was nice they had free shuttle service to the airport and 24 hr to the casino and the food was good..front desk workers were very friendly and was nice they has smoking rooms available.
Top notch establishment with all the enmities you could ask for in a Las Vegas casino in Central Il.
We were on our way home from vacationing in St. Louis and Springfield, IL and found ourselves wanting to do one more thing en route back home. We made a short detour to East Peoria to visit Par-a-Dice casino as we like to gamble occasionally. The fact that it is a riverboat on the Illinois River was pretty neat. The casino looks much smaller than it is. Once you get on you see that it is 4 floors of casino action. This was yet another casino where I could NEVER get ahead and just seemed to lose all the money right away without winning much of anything. I don't expect to become a millionaire at a casino, but I always wish they would at least let you play a little bit. I should have known better. I thought the casino was pretty clean, but there were some strange people here, including a woman who shouted out a sarcastic comment to my mom about wearing a light jacket inside since the AC makes her cold. The elevator was very slow, and you ended up waiting a long time for the elevator. There could have been a bit wider variety of slots, but there was a pretty good selection here. I wish I would have made out better here but that is part of the game! We only spent about 2 hours here before calling it quits. Definitely not my favorite casino, but I could see returning some time.
