We went here with some friends to see the skydiving and it was well worth the trip. Go see the indoor skydining while you are there.
it was really fun to go to Eloy airport and watch the sky divers float down in the colored parachutes. We had a very nice lunch that we took to the picnic table to watch the action.
It was really neat to watch the skydivers come in for a landing right infront of you. But no way would you get me up in that plane! LOL! Nice people here, they were really friendly to talk to and we asked lots of questions. A pricey sport if you get into it, but sure looked like they were loving it.
My 8 year old son and I purchased a Living Social deal for the indoor skydiving at Skyventure. Never having been to Eloy, I had a tad bit of difficulty finding the right road to turn on because there wasn't a street sign, but I called Skyventure and they were very happy to direct me in.Once you get to the airport area, follow the signs all the way past the buildings to the back of the property where you can park right at the indoor skydiving building. You will drive past the landing area for the real skydivers. If people are jumping, this is a really cool area to sit and watch them land. My son enjoyed seeing it up close. After you check in and pay at the front desk, they will direct you up to the indoor skydiving area. They have seats to sit and wait for the rest of the group you will be skydiving with. While waiting, you get to watch the group that went before you in the chamber. We got to watch people who actually skydive learning to do tricks in the chamber. When it's your group's turn, you will go into a small classroom to watch a 4 minute video. The classroom also has small lockers where you can leave your purse, keys, etc. You will then be given earplugs, a helmet, knee pads, goggles and a jumpsuit. They have them for kids and adults. The group then goes into the chamber and one by one gets their turn flying. You rotate through twice. I would allot about 2 hours total, from the time you arrive to the time you leave. This will vary depending on the number of people in your group but 2 hours is a good estimate. The staff is exceptional. They are professional, but also very friendly, encouraging and fun. They do a great job of making you feel comfortable. My son was a bit nervous but did it with no problems. While he said it was kind of fun, he had his fill and is not interested in doing it again. It is a little difficult to breath with all that wind blowing in your face. I enjoyed the flight. There were several other kids in our group that absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back. This is definitely an awesome experience to try out. If you are in the area, or driving on I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix and are looking for something different to try, I would definitely recommend Skyventure.
It was very windy on the day of our visit so there was no action outside, but watching the people in the wind tunnel was very interesting. It was quite busy and we chose not to participate. It was obvious those who did had a great time with instructors who seemed to enjoy their job and made first timers very comfortable instructing them how to float in the up drafting wind tunnel. In a secure environment one gets a sense of what skydiving is like. we also saw small groups practicing maneuvers in preparation for a future jump formation. It was a bit more than we were willing to pay for 5 minutes of floating on air. Watching is FREE. On jump days our friends spend hours watching groups spiral down changing formations as they free fall.
My first experience with skydiving ever and my number one experience and attraction in my book so far. Price is very reasonable and location is between Phoenix and Tucson so it is easy access. At the Skydive Arizona they get you in and out and treat you like how one should be treated with respect and make sure you have a lifetime experience from beginning to end. My jump instructor, Kevin, was top notch and gave me the thrill that I had been looking for. I would also like to thank Eddie for the awesome job on putting together a great video from start to finish (which is work every penny) to give me this experience on video forever. Next time I come I will be bringing my three boys and look forward to getting to that threshold again. Thank you Skydive Arizona for a tremendous adventure and knocking off one of my bucket lists. Two thumbs way up!!! :-)
A rare chance to watch world class skydiving within feet of the landing area. The sky is simply aglow with all the colorful chutes. The Bent Prop Saloon serves a mean burger!! Don't miss this amazing attraction!!
Stayed in Eloy and spent a week learning to skydive. Amazing facilities and awesome instructions. Everyone was super nice. Felt very safe with them and was in good hands. Had a great time and learned a lot. Spent some time in the tunnel as well, and while it's quite expensive it's super fun and great learning tool. Thanks!
My boyfriend and I are avid skydivers & we went to Skydive AZ for the boogie. We had such an amazing time! They had so many cool events planned (casino night, new years eve party with prizes, DC-3 & Skyvan jumps). The camping area is nice, they have shower/bathroom/laundry facilities & the restaurant has a pretty good dinner (Id go out or cook breakfast though, their breakfast wasnt that good). We love jumping there & highly recommend it to other jumpers, tandems, or if you just want to play in the wind tunnel.
Took my kids here during fall break. The instructors were friendly and let my kids walk into the fly zone ahead of time to stand on the floor and get a feel for the room. After a short instructional video they got into their jumpsuits, goggles and helmets and flew like pros! Needless to say everyone wants to go back again!
