WE toured the campus. It has changed so much since I was a student there 38 years ago. The campus has maintained some of the old traditional buildings, and added dozens more. The population of Flagstaff is 60,000 MOL and 20,000 students at NAU !
I went to school there in the 1970's. I loved it then, but at the time it had very little landscaping. Today it looks terrific. Grass, trees, parking garage and a wonderful new track and field stadium.
We drove around the University, as my son was accepted there and trying to see what it was like. The campus is well spread out and beautiful. From what we could see, there is a good bus system for students to get around campus. Wish we could've gotten a tour, but given that it was Holiday break, not too many people around.
Had a great time tailgating with the Frat boys at NAU. Not many port-a-potties in the parking lot though
A great weekend to visit this fine University. Coming from Australia to visit our daughter studying here was a great cultural experience. Great football game in a magnificent stadium on Saturday night. Flagstaff is close to so many geographical wonders including the Grand Canyon. An unknown to us and a great surprise was a visit to Senora. This scenic wonderland demands a visit from anyone visiting the area.
NAU is a beautiful campus and is surrounded by absolutely serene scenic views of the mountains and surrounding forests. Centrally located within the city of Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University is a stones throw away from the many scenic attractions has to offer, including dining, and nightlife. I wish I had gone to school at NAU.
The staff was courteous, friendly, and informative and accommodating, the football stadium is incredible to see, the campus is beautiful, the dorms are nice, the food was good
What I saw was greenand beautiful.. just sightseeing and on a stop over ont he way fron southern AZ to Grand Junction CO
I absolutely love this campus and the people there. My daughter is a Freshman and we have been on campus 3 times before she moved in. Each visit is wonderful - the people, the atmosphere and the scenery. I enjoy coming to Flagstaff and making a long weekend of visiting her. Each trip I discover something new on campus and almost have my complete bearings about me when I wander around. The only complaint I have is that there simply are not enough bike racks to accommodate everyone. Sadly, I saw "tow violation" stickers attached to bikes that were chained to railings that were within 2 feet of the obviously overcrowded bike racks. We encourage a green existence yet are not providing enough storage for their transportation. That really needs to be resolved.
Visiting my niece while in Flagstaff on a business trip stopped by to see her campus and living conditions nice and quite campus she loves it there
