The best thing about our trip to Florence court was that it was a lovely, sunny day so that we could enjoy the walk around the grounds.. Unfortunately, that was about it. The aforementioned grounds are barely maintained and the house itself is only accessible as part of a guided tour. The tour is priced separately to the entrance fee to the grounds are neither are worth the inflated prices. Disappointing. The OPW does it so much better than the National Trust..
Beautiful countryside really enjoy the walk around the grounds. Would recommend a visit to the house full of amazing history.
Florence Court is quite a small house set in beautiful grounds and is a delightful place to visit. Our guide for the tour was first class, interesting and knowledgeable. We ate a delicious lunch in the tearoom, and while we were there we joined The National Trust making the rest of out NT visits free.
On previous visits only the grounds were open; the house etc were interesting. The guide was obliging but had only a basic knowledge of the Cole family and the area (a student rather than local). Location and surrounding mountains fantastic.
I really enjoyed my visit to this property in July. The walled garden was my favorite part, as the roses were in full bloom. It was just beautiful. We took the house tour and enjoyed it as well. The plaster work inside is very elaborate and impressive. It was fun to visit the rather primitive kitchen and also the laundry facilities and imagine what it must have been like to work there in the early days. We took a long pleasant walk around the grounds and managed to fill an afternoon quite nicely. My husband and I are frugal travelers, but we felt that this property is worth the admission price.
We had a very enjoyable walk around the grounds. The house was closed as we were there before the tourist opening times.Lots to see and the house looks as if another visit is on the cards!
Have visited here many times. You can't take away the beautiful gardens and walks but I always feel for the price they charge there is very little to do. I'm not saying it should be turned into a circus just have a little more events I feel they could make so much more money here
Florence Court is an amazing house in Enniskillen. Great tour and grounds to explore. Amazing to see how the national trust has restored this house, worth a visit.
We loved the coffee shop and second hand book shop. It was great to start the house tour outside the front door and then the guide opened the door with the large key and took us inside. I loved the study and the kitchens. Grounds are not to be missed including the waterwheel which drives the saw-mill
A wonderful and interesting old building with so much of the original furniture and fittings, still intact. It really feels like you are going back in time walking around inside. The gardens are remarkable and present the perfect scenario for a summer picnic.
