Great local area to explore, visit and exercise in. Close and quiet, very safe and natural. Good for walks , hikes, bike rides, snow shoening in season. Kayak the Exeter River which winds along side of the trails.
This is a nice trail in the heart of Exeter, and maintained by Phillips Exeter Academy. If you are looking for some respite from your travels, take a little walk and enjoy the woods of Southern New Hampshire!
Nice wooded area trails on PEA property. Often come here because (1) its close to home and (2) they allow dogs. NH is notoriously unfriendly to dogs in most of the parks. These trails are owned by PEA and allow dogs.
good walking trail in close to town and also gives you a view of Exeter Acadamy academic buildings while being close into town
You can park behind the gymnasium and access a great network of trails, supposedly groomed for cross-country skiing as of this year. We've also seen lots of people with snow shoes out and about. Dogs are welcome, too! Great place to go for a walk in the summer, as well.
Leafy and cool, with dappled sunlight, enjoy a walk or bring your bicycles. Well- posted trails, but stay on them, or rik getting very lost ! cool down with a rope swing splash ino the meandering river.
Trails are great for snowshoeing and x-country skiing. The red trail is not very well marked and easy to get lost in if no tracks have been made. Dogs are welcome; just clean up afterwards. Park at Phillips Exeter track and follow road out towards football stadium. Map posted near trails further in.
Nice spot to walk your dog and get a breath of fresh air. Some interesting buildings and shops nearby. Phillips Exeter Academy does a great job keeping everything up. Their Security department is frequently out and about. Easy to find parking.
