Fairhope may not have pearly white shores like some of the cities on the Gulf, but it has gobs more charm! I thought the Municipal Pier was absolutely delightful. It was too too cold when we visited in February to spend much time on the little beach adjacent to the pier; but we did snap a few pictures before hurrying back to the car to enjoy our picnic lunch with a view.
This location is one that I visit at least weekly. The scenic duckpond, public beach, and pier are routinely included in my morning runs. Remarkable location to view the sunset from either the pier, the fountain, or the park. Quaint area with family friendly accommodations. Pets are always welcome. We often take family picnics in the park and enjoy feeding the ducks near the pond. The fountain is well maintained and encompassed by some of the most gorgeous roses you can find. Bring your camera to capture some of the beauty of Fairhope. Many photographers use these locations for backdrops for photo sessions. Easter time is the peak bloom time for the roses and in October the water is dyed pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. You need to experience this location!
long pier with history. A restaurant about 1/2 way down, but not open in winter. enjoyed the fresh air and wind.
We visited the municipal pier in early February. The restrooms on the pier wee closd for remodeling and the restaurant on the pier was also closed. It was still nice to walk out on it.
This is a great respite on the bay. Lovely views and a great hang out if you enjoy hanging out with the pelicans. There appears to be a quaint restaurant there but it was closed for the winter will have to check it out next time I'm there during the "season." Enjoy the stroll next time you're in Fairhope!
This provided a nice stroll, stunning water, and friendly folks. Not sure what was offered in immediate area. Bring your camera!
Beautiful and a busy peer. Great fishing place. Awesome sunset. Very cozy little town, green and pretty !
This is a great place for walking or just sitting to watch the bay. We discovered that up above on hill that there are benches & tables which would also be great for viewing.
The Pier is a lovely spot to enjoy the sun and relax. We walked to the end looking for wildlife and just revelled in the breeze blowing off the bay. Parking is free and its a nice place to take a walk.
