Splitsville is a great concept. We love the lay out where the bowling alleys are scattered around the building with tables and booths. We also like that they have pool tables and shuffleboard in addition to bowling. However every time we go the service is very slow. I usually have to go hunt down some waitstaff to come and take our order. The food is good and they have some good drink specials. One thing that really bothered me yesterday when we were there was the fact that when I paid in cash they only gave changed to the nearest quarter. They owed me nine cents in change and they planned to keep it. The last time I checked this country still used pennies not to mention dimes and nickels. Since when does a business only give change to the nearest quarter?
Splitsville is a family favorite for our crew! We have an exceptional experience with fun activities and treats that satisfy everyone from 91 - 8 in our bunch! Delicious foods, friendly staff, and endless opportunities to make happy memories!
Splitsville is over the top in many ways. The atmosphere is nothing like bowling alleys of yore. Instead, lanes are angled, lighting is varied and the bar is in the center of things. Servers don't let your drinks run dry.Speaking of which, this place actually has good food and drinks. Not good for a bowling alley, but really good. Plus, if you're not into bowling a game of shuffleboard is highly recommended.Service has always been top notch. The manger is visible and involved and his staff stays on top of things. Even the restrooms are spotless. So even if you're not into bowling, this place is just plain fun. And yes, you should plan to eat there.
We had some time to waste while people in our group went to an event at the Allen Event Center so we decided to head over to Splitsville. It is in the middle of all the hustle & bustle of the outlets, Allen Event Center and ALL the shopping in the area. But, to our surprise, at 1:00, the Saturday after Thanksgiving we were able to walk right in & get a lane immediately. We had 5 people on 1 lane & it took us an hour & half to finish two games, which cost us ~$78 with shoes. Don't forget your socks though! This isn't your normal bowling alley where socks are free or very very cheap, these socks will run you at least $5/pair.It was very nice on the inside, actually a lot nicer than many other bowling options. If there is a group bowling in the lane right next to you it gets a little crowded but it's not terrible. I'd be surprised if the lead up to the lane was standard length, it felt very short and before you knew it you were already at the line.
Splitsville is super fun! I have been there for accompany Christmas party as well as for a family outing. Both times the experience was really great, and the girls who work there are all really nice. All the food that I have tried there is so good! They have all kinds of things to choose from. Sushi, sliders, edamame, pizza, etc...it's a really upbeat atmosphere. There are not as many lanes, so I would avoid going on the weekend if you can help it. I think if you're going with family it's best with teens and not young children.
We went on a Saturday night about 9 PM, two couples out for a fun time. We were not disappointed. In this outdoor mall area on Stacey Road just north of Allen, TX, lies Splitzville, a nice(if I may use the term upscale) bowling alley. I called ahead and they told me there may be a wait for a lane, but there was no wait. The atmosphere is very nice, they have a decent bar selection, and even though we did not eat, I checked out their menu and it was much more in depth than I expected, including sushi. In addition, the prices were reasonable. We had a great time!!
Good food, adult drinks, great fun with friends or family! Make reservations though, and if you arrive early you can stroll and shop at The Shops of Fairview. Win/win situation!
The family and I went bowling here while others went to Disney on ice. The place is nice but the lanes have VERY short approaches so you need to be casual about your bowling to like this place. It is not for bowling enthusiasts. Prices were high at $5.50 per game plus $2.50 for shoes. BRING SOCKS!
It was a cool different atmosphere. Nice bowling. Great food. Good happy hour specials. It's a different cleaner bowling alley.
This place is located walking distance from me. My son and I love to walk over on Tuesday evening for discounted bowling and pretty good food. The calamari is awesome! Believe it or not the they have awesome sushi. The bubba roll is amazing. Cold beer, awesome food and fun time. What more can you ask for. Live entertainment on the weekends. There is normally live entertainment on the patio on the weekends. Love this place.
