We live nearby, have driven past the Honey Lane sign for years! FINALLY decided to stop. I am so glad we did! There were so many different honeys to sample! The Eucalyptus honey was our favorite. The store had everything from beeswax bars, beeswax candles, beauty products, Royal Jelly, Honey, Honey Pots, a live bee habitat. Reasonable prices and we supported a local farm. Win - Win for everyone. So next time you are driving up Highway 126 in Fillmore, take that turn on Honey Lane!
Friendly service and great price on a quality product. I give this business a 5 star rating. Located just off of rte 126 west of Fillmore, CA.
I have been here several times, most recently with my granddaughters. They loved being able to sample the different flavors of honey. There really is a difference! Staff were helpful and didn't seem bothered by 3 noisy (but polite) children. I'm just sorry they have quit using the Piru Canyon label. I used to purchase honey when asked to bring something to a gathering (like college reunions) to represent my part of the country.
Fun stop to taste a dozen or so types of honey. Interesting to see the glass enclosed hive inside the shop. I bought some blueberry honey to try on my waffles.
When you're driving Hwy 126 between Ventura and Santa Clarita-- and you must, for a chance to enjoy Old California agricultural charm--there are several must-dos, including the Ag museum in Santa Paula, and the Bennett's honey farm tasting room.Bennett's makes Topanga Quality Honey and Piru Canyon Honey brands, which you'll see at farm stands and specialty stores around SoCal but it's best to stop in if you can to the tasting room and shop just outside of Fillmore. In a charming little one-room retail space, the honeys are lined up, lightest to most robust and you can taste the amazing full-bodied varieties like buckwheat, eucalyptus and sage that are hard to find (but delicious with strong cheeses and artisan breads). There's honey of all kinds, beeswax candles, pollen, royal jelly, and bee-themed gifts and toys. There's also a display window where kids can see bees at work on a honeycomb.
This place is very small, but it has great variety of honey. I tried few different kinds. I bought a bunch of different ones I liked. They have some delicious Cactus Cinnamon honey from Arizona. Next time I would get a bucket of it! They sell different honey related products. Love this place.
We love this honey farm. You can sample all different types of honey and you can really taste the difference based on which plants the bees use to make it. Worth a stop if you are driving through this area.
I wish i would have known about this place for the last 20+ years! they produce amazing honey and sell other great honey products. they also have T-shirts, jams and jellies, candy, and small gifts. I will definitely bring my kids here so they can see the glass live bee hive and see honey being made. its also cool driving through the farm land and seeing that also. you can also sample just about anything before you buy it. we will most definitely be back.
if in the area, a worthwhile stop. we had a groupon, and loaded up on honey. quite the a bit to choose from. just about everything honey. very nice people.
Great selection of local honey's and free samples! Off the beaten path, don't miss it! We liked the Clover and Cactus the best!
