launch for kayaking was convenient but had a stupid chain across. Could get around it but it was annoying.
Park your car and take a stroll down through this charming little town. Plenty of small locally owned shops to wander through, very east to walk around. Be sure to stop down by the water and snap a few pictures by the lake or the old (but kind of new) water wheel. A nice little stop for families to stretch their legs.A few restaurants are right in town to enjoy a meal, summer and warm weather they offer outdoor seating with views of the lake. Also a small little grocery store with ample parking and basic groceries. Many activities through out the summer months-and even winter holidays!
Some cute little stores and great restaurants. Very near Peek N' Peek and the wineries in North East. Loved it!
Just exploring on a Sunday afternoon and glimpsed the north end of this lake, it was so pretty we decided to circle it. Findley Lake is beautiful from every viewpoint, and each turn unfolds to reveal another wonder.
Great homemade ice cream and waffle cones...hugh serving for a great price! We got it just in time on July 4th before the crowd came in!
we love to go shopping there so many nice shops with unique items to choose from & the music was awesome fun to sit by the lake and relax
This was a surprising find for us! Great shops. Really nice artisan products, and a really nice antiques shop. The wine shop has great bumper stickers and next door his wife has lovely things. I definately recommend this town.
Beautiful little lake. You must know where to go and things to do for fun and relaxation. Here are just a few. Rent a boat or kayak at marina or campground and cruise the lake and enjoy the different ducks geese etc. Rent bikes at hardware and ride around lake, picnic on Sunny Side rd at picnic benches 1 mile from town on the lake. Spend a day just getting in touch with nature in the peace and quiet don't pick holidays it's too busy. Take a walk on the nature trail in back of community center on North Rd. Play golf and get a massage at Peek and Peak Resort. Too relaxing , take a trail ride at one of the nearby stables or go to NASCAR Speedway. If that isn't exciting enough take the Zip line adventure through the trees at the Peek, that should get you adrenaline going. Lots other things to do but you will have to ask at one of the stores or some or the eateries.
Looks like a lovely lake. The town is very small but nice to take a 15 minute stroll through which will include visiting all the stores. Nice place to stop but don't plan on making a day, half a day, or few hours out of it. Hour tops which can include lunch.
Both the town and lake are very charming. There's ice cream all over, limited traffic, and no chain stores or restaurants. Some people say the houses are blocking the lake view, but I really didn't mind, as the houses were so matching the place. It's very relaxing to drive through this "city" on the way to our hotel in the next town.
