What a grand, beautiful church.Grand service, What a treasure to have this church in the community.Very serene.
Wow what a homily. Very inviting parish with many young families and children. Highly recommend if visiting or if you're a local definitely join.
The title says it all. This Catholic church has a fabulous Priest who relates to the people of the parrish.
Santa Maria del Mar sits high on the peninsula skirting the Atlantic Ocean. It can be seen to the left when driving over the Moody Ave. bridge (RT 100) The building is large with a dome like top. The church is quite large with seats sloping down to the altar on three sides. There is also a small chapel which is used as a crying room on Sundays but is a nice place to spend some time in prayer. They also have a gift shop which has it's own time of operation. The front doors are locked but you can gain access through the Office door during the day.
We've been to church 3 times now in the last week! There's two priests here that are so moving in their preaching, that you can't wait to go back. The whole community is so welcoming and friendly you'll be so happy if you stop in for Mass sometime...
When you first enter, there's a group of greeters - and greet you they will. We vacation in the area and were looking for a church. When we arrived, someone was there to say hello, open the door, direct us to a pew. We signed the visitor log and there was someone right there to welcome us and chat a bit about where we were from and what brought us to the church and the area., But the best part - when we returned home, waiting for us was a welcoming letter and packet from the pastor thanking us for stopping in and hoping we would return. And we have and we will.
I stayed 1 week in Flagler Beach and went to the Sunday mass at Santa Maria del Mar Church. it was really a great mass. The church is very pleasant and was full. And Father Esposito is a great priest.
We had gone to the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach, Florida, for attending a funeral service. The Church premises is well kept and has a fairly big parking lot. Inside the Church there is a large number of pews for a big congregation. There are eight beautiful stained glass panels at the back of the alter. In short a beautiful place of worship.
After visiting three other churches in the Palm Coast area on our vacation, we didn't want to miss Santa Maria Del Mer in Flagler Beach. We were greeted with smiles and warm welcomes. The church is just the right size - I do not care for mega-churches.The pastor was very joyful and easy to listen to. He made the mass very pleasant and cheerful. His cheerful personality has been passed on to his parishoners and one can tell they enjoy a healthy committment to the church. If I lived in the area, I definitely would make this my home parish. Good going, Father Al Esposito!!
