Walking to Friendship Bay was a relatively easy one-hour walk from Lower Bay where the sea was much rougher and we didn't even swim although we were hot from the walk. We did, however, find a gem: the Bequia Beach Hotel where we had a wonderful lunch, ocean-side. Excellent Salade Nicoise and pina coladas! After this perfect lunch, we felt obliged to take the boogie bus home :-) Another perfect day
It's fantastic - as a lot of beaches and islands are in the Caribbean! The water is pure and blue and the area is good for hiking! :)
a bit choppy waves but fun! nice restaurants, windy , coconut trees for shade, a bit of steep hill to get down and up loads of stairs if your walking, nice tho enjoyed it. Easter/April is lovely in Bequia! hey anytime is!
We really enjoyed friendship bay which had some good surf when we went. Nice white sand and a great bar and restaurant close by.The sea was rough due to windy conditions so the snorkelling was not as good as we were to believe but I would imagine it would be great given less swell.
We visited this briefly while on a tour of the island with our taxi driver. We would have liked to spend more time there but did not have much time.
Had a great time here...the Atlantic side of the island has a constant breeze which is nice, less mozzies but might be too much for kids.
This was a very restful location. You have sun til late afternoon. There is snorkeling available and drinks and food are available at the Bagatelle restaurant.
Beautiful beach with lovely views - very sheltered. We loved looking over to Mustique and had fun doing waterspouts in the bay. Really good snorkelling on the reef.
Stunning beach. This side of the island is quiet. No facilities here but the times we have been to this beach we had it pretty much to ourselves!!
A ten minute walk from our villa, this beach was absolutely stunning. Although there are no amenities available on the beach, the sand is like white sugar and the water is warm with moderate waves. We spent a lot of time here, where we had the beach to ourselves most of the time.
