Motor trail with walking areas. Also some access to hiking trails leading up to LeConte! You need to take this trail. Tune your radio and enjoy!
you've got to get out and enjoy all this area has to offer, its absolutely beautiful in the Smokey Mountains
I always enjoy driving through the roaring fork motor trail. No matter what time of year, the sites are always pleasurable. I highly recommend it, doing with getting out and walking to the different sites.
This is one of the most beautiful drives in all of Gatlinburg. Streams, waterfalls and breath taking views. There are a lot of places to hike and explore and it is right in the middle of downtown so you are close to all the shops and places to eat. You would never believe you are so close to downtown. A Gatlinburg must do.
The drive is awesome and you can really connect with nature. Take the time to do this as you will not regret the decision.
Very nice drive at the end of our day. Beautiful, many pictures worth. Not too long of a drive. Kind of a busy road with some cars moving faster than others, but many, many spots to pull off and take pictures to let faster players through!
One of our favorite places to visit in The Smokies. Love the scenery and the peacefulness of it. And we always see a bear when we go
A couple of minutes outside of Gatlinburg and instantly you are in the forest. Very beautiful scenery. Great hiking. Waterfalls and old historic houses. I've been driving through Roaring Fork for many years and always love returning.
Beautiful place for a hike or just a drive or picnic. Love to sit and just listen to the waterfalls. I will say some of the trails marked as moderate were quite strenuous. We have seen bears and a snowy owl one winter. Much closer than Cades Cove but wildlife is not as prominent here.
We drive this road looking for" Bears" every time we go to Gatlinburg Love Gatlinburg, And we have seen bears on this road many times
