Love Eddie the owner to death! He is very nice and takes care of his customers. Rental tube prices are half the price of river rat and better quality tubes are provided! There are also tubes with bottoms in them or tubes without. Shuttle is available!
We "price shopped around and these ppl were great...friendly &helpful.....and made us laugh .... I think we paid $8 each and was out the door headed 2 river...and got picked up on time we will definitely be back 2 townsend co.e spring&summer 2015 and tube junctions will be one of our 1st stops 10 stars
Great staff & GREAT TIME ! We shopped around before deciding to use tube junction and so glad we chose this place. The girl in the office Sherri was the most pleasant and helpful person, she knew how to help with our kids and their life jackets and helped us really understand what to expect once we were out on the river. Eddie our bus driver was prompt picking us up, we went down 4 different times and each time our wait was no more than 5 minutes. We had a lot of fun while out on the water. There are a few places to stop and swim, and the river is very peaceful. The tubes are very nice and the experience in whole is just something everyone should try at least once. We will definitely return !!!
We happened upon this place by accident and so thankful we did. The prices were very reasonable. You can have an all day event for $8. Eddie Davis and Sherie Sexton the employees there went above and beyond the call of duty. They answered all of our questions (and we had many). Eddie was promply waiting for us at the end of the ride. Sheri even came outside to take our photos. Reading some of the reviews makes me wonder if we went to the same place. I can't recommend this place enough. . Please go and check it out you won't be sorry.
We used Tube Junction and had a good time. Their price was good, and the staff were professional. Be aware that the tube route is shorter with Tube Junction than River Rats. Also, be careful at the takeout. The rocks are slippery and there is more current there than at River Rats' takeout.
We arrived at 10am, and were able to tube all day; the deadline for the last launch was 5:30p and the last pickup was 7pm. They charge a low rate of $8 for unlimited tubing all day. The staff were professional and helpful and exceedingly friendly. They have a large park-like grassy parking area where some families chose to picnic at lunchtime. The launch site was at the back of the parking area and was easy to access and only a very short walk from the building, where they dropped us off. It took us about 1.5-2 hours to complete the trips. The trip was interesting and varied, with some mild "rapids," "pools" of water, and even a rock from which people could jump into deeper water. There was a variety of tubes to choose from, and they seemed to be well made. They had straps available to strap tubes together so that they would not separate. They also have life vests available for children and adults. The exit point was just a short 5-minute ride on the "_C_OOL BUS" back to the store. We did not have to wait more than 10 minutes to be picked up after any trip was complete. They had water shoes available for about $10 in their store, and there was a restaurant right next door, which was convenient for lunch. One thing to keep in mind is that this activity is not without some risk, as it is possible for people to accidentally come out of the tube and risk injury, e.g. falling on rocks, hitting one's head on rock. Participants should be able to get in and out of the tube independently in moving water or wear a life vest. I say this because during one of our trips, a woman was knocked from her tube in a shallower area with slimy rocks and moving water. A child was unsuccessful in attempts to help her, and the woman fell into the water on the rocks several times in her attempt to get back in the tube. It took three other women and the child to help this woman back into her tube; meanwhile it took several other people to capture and save the tubes of the women who were helping (as they had floated away). I then had to get about 20 feet to where my tube had been "saved," which was no easy feat in the shallow water with slimy, slippery rocks (and I did have grippy water shoes on). After falling a couple times and scraping my knees up, I decided it was much easier and safer to float on my back until I reached my tube. It was quite an adventure that made me realize that it's important to know one's potential risk level for tubing and plan accordingly.
This is by far one of the best places to go in Townsend ! Why pay 10-15 dollars to tube when you can pay 8 to tube on the same river!!! The people that run this place is family owned and operated very sweet people ! Can't beat the quality and good time any where else ! I will be returning !!!
We go to Pigeon Forge about every year or two and always go tubing in Townsend. We have always had a great experience with Tube Junction. There are plenty of tubing companies in the area but Tube Junction seems to have the most down to earth and friendly staff. We have used Tube Junction at least 5 times in the past. We will continue to use them in the future.
Best price we found, $8 for the whole day. When another family had rented from another shop and their daughter was crying the whole way, our driver picked them and their tubes and dropped them off at their rental location. The family offered to pay and our driver refused. Will definitely go back on another visit!!!
This is a great way to spend a day! Very nice people work here and will take care of answering any questions. The price is better than fair, with a whole day of tubing you can't go wrong. It is a way better value than river rat at half the price and a longer trip down the river! Very family orientated and the short bus Shuttle is a lot of fun! The river is great and the tubes they have are excellent.
