Such a cute and fun stop. You can learn about new wines and have a light cheese and fruit tray. Great atmosphere and a friendly and helpful staff. I am excited to get back on a Friday night for live entertainment and desserts!
Vintages has a variety of events all fun and of course revolve around wine and wine parings. I have attended their New Years Eve event complete with food and music, their chili cook off where wine was pared with chili ---great fun and yummy! We held a class reunion there as a wine tasting reception and most every Friday evening they have entertainment along with wine tasting. It is a great place to visit and an asset to our community.
This is a cute little place right on Main St. You can try a glass of the wines that are open or you can get a bottle right off the shelf and try a glass. All you pay for is the glass if you don't like the bottle and don't want any more of it. If you like the bottle you pay for the bottle and can either finish it while there or take it with you when you leave. There are lots of different wine selections to appeal to everybody's tastes. There are usually light snacks or a cheese plate to purchase per person. On Friday night there is usually music and a lively crowd. The owner, Julie, is really good about making suggestions if you don't know what you want. She also has a small selection of craft beers in case you don't like wine.
Very inviting atmosphere. Creative owner with marvelous culinary skills. Regularly has musical entertainment. Also has special events. You can find out more about Vintages by going to Facebook!! Always a fun time! Vintages has a very good selection of beers and wines. There's also nice gifts available for your friends and family.
I traveled to Galesburg and somebody told me about Vintages. Vintages is a quaint but sophisticated wine shop that is set up sort of like the tasting room of a winery. The staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you are traveling to Galesburg for any reason, I would reccomend a stop at Vintages! According to Julie, the owner, they have bands on Fridays and many special events that include wine. They also have a selection of craft beers which I tried along with a glass of wine. You can taste wine and buy a glass or bottle to have at the shop. Julie and the other staff members answered all of the wine questions that I had!
A quaint little store located on Main street a few blocks from Seminary street. A very friendly hostess greets you as you enter the shop. Come in and browse the store, step up to the bar and sample some wines or have a seat and listen to a live band play. While you listen to the band have a bottle of wine and some very tasty snacks. It is a very friendly atmostphere and I will certainly recommend this shop to all my friends and family.
Vintages is a great place for buying wine. The store has a wide selection of domestic and foreign wines, reasonably priced--many for under $15. The owner, Julie, is really helpful. Tell her what food you'll be serving, or what general kind of wine you're looking for (e.g., fruity red), and she'll be happy to recommend specific wines; I've always been happy with her recommendations. Also a nice selection of beer, domestic and imported. There are often special events at the store as well, with wine by the glass and hors d'oeuvres or other food, always good.
We stopped here on a rainy day for a glass of wine. Bartender ANC patrons were very friendly. It was fun to sit in the front window and watch people and traffic!
Vintages has a very solid selection of wines, and Julie goes out of her way to find selections for her clients. She also hosts events such as wine tasting dinners, parties (we celebrated my wife's birthday with drinks and hors d'ouevres for almost 50 people), and weekend musical performers. Quite a place for a relatively small town.
Large selection of wine and great atmosphere. Seating is available. Cheese trays are available for purchase and $1.00 wine tastings.
