A very nice meal ,quickly served luckily as we were late due to traffic problems. The staff were very efficient and friendly.
Another great night out at the Swan Theatre, we saw the play Rebecca, amazing cast! the time went very very quickly! had a pre-meal as always fast and efficient and food to a high standard. The lovely young lady called Kate who took our order was absolutely fantastic nothing was to much trouble, she seemed to be everywhere making sure everything was just right.
Although we had to wait a little bit too long for our food, it was delicious. We all had a spinach and falafel burger with halloumi which was beautifully presented and of generous portions. Followed by Eton Mess which looked very pretty and tasted lovely. Service was very friendly. All in all a very pleasant dining experience before very entertaining theatre. A great Saturday night out.
The tables and location feel more like a cafe but actually the food and service is very good. We had booked for 6:15, had a 2 course meal with a free glass of prosecco (each) and managed to get to the play by 7:30. (just)! The only downside is that as the performance time gets closer the noise and throng of theatre goers congregating around the bar is a bit overpowering. If possible book a table away from the bar. ( you will need to book, it's popular! We thought the play, Rebecca was excellent and we had a good view even tho not in expensive seats. We love the kneehigh theatre company productions.
We ate before seeing Dara O'Brian and it was a great idea, we could sit a table in comfort instead of standing in the crowds around the bar and stairs. The food was great and well presented, all came at the same time and we were all pleased. I had the burger - and would recommend that to anyone! It cost £120 for 8 of us - some had starters, some had a pudding. I would certainly eat before a performance again.
I visited the Swan to see Rebecca as a birthday treat for my wife. We eat in the restaurant which has a simple menu but delivers on taste and value. The play was exceptionally good and well produced and acted. The auditorium is comfortable and spacious.
A good evening at the Swan as usual. Our half time drinks we waiting for us at the interval as ordered, and all staff were attentive. The band were okay, got better as the evening progressed.
Three of us visited on 28th Feb a Saturday night. It was busy but the service and the food were excellent. The menu choices were varied enough for us all to find something to our liking. All the courses were very well presented and of high quality. The performance was very good, it was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy a good meal without worrying about being late for the show. The serving staff were young, very well trained, efficient, a delight to talk to, friendly and, without fail, smiling. The only drawback was that when it came closer to the start of the show we hadn't quite finished eating and were very closely surrounded by lots of people arriving for the show and getting their pre show drinks. A minor niggle but it would be nicer if the diners could somehow be slightly separated from everyone milling around in the foyer. We very much enjoyed our evening despite the minor niggle and would certainly opt for the pre show meal again.
Fabulous trip to the Swan today, had lunch before. From the moment we arrived fantastic service for the lady who showed us to our reserved table to our waitress Maureen who couldn't have been more helpful. Auditorium comfortable, nice temperature and view from seats fabulous. Brilliant production, great use of lighting and set changing the location with the adding or moving of props. Very good cast. Nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Glad we booked a table as they were turning people away.Limited menu but food and wine and beer were excellent quality and very tasty.Service was very nice.Only complaint- our table was near the entrance so very chilly! You get 10% off the meal too if Theatre tickets are booked, so we will use this again.
