Classic / Nostalgic Farmer's market with a massive, large variety apple orchard just beyond the farm stand. We went for the apple picking and it was fun, easy and hassle-free. A number of people made a picnic in the orchard, which was quite Martha Stewart yet unpretentious.. Dogs were welcomed and ours had a blast. Another notable item is the clean port-a-potty's with hand-wash/soap as well. A nice and well-thought out addition to keep the experience enjoyable. Employees are all quite gracious and eager to help whether guiding thru orchard or working farm stand. We got great pumpkins and other squash and the selection of homemade pies was large. Oh, there is also food to eat like hot dogs but highly recommend the $1/chicken leg, especially the jerk-chicken flavor. Surprisingly fantastic... we went back and bought several more. Deelish.
very fresh ingredients. lots of variety. try the blueberry pia nd cider doughnuts. yummmm!
Well run local farm stand, local baked good and preserves as well as local produce
We live locally and are frequent customers. Love the pies and cider donuts. Really nice folks, selling fresh fruits and veggies. Easy stop on rt 208 right outside of new paltz.
The place to go in Gardiner for fresh produce all year long. Stays open when others are closed for the season.
We went on a weekend to Wrights Farm for PYO apples. We first have to take the tickets to the orchards from their farm. The ticket is $10 per person which includes entry to the orchards, parking, a bag for a peck of apples and a hayride. The farm stand itself is huge and and has locally grown veggies, fruits, preserves, donuts, cider, cheese etc .We got the cider donuts and headed to the orchards. It opens at 8 in the morning. The orchard is about 500 acres and there were plenty of apples to pick. There were many people who were visiting, but it was not crowded at all.The owners are there on the orchard to help you out with your questions, they were really very helpful. You can get your pets with you. There are picnic tables in the orchard,so you can get your own grills and enjoy a picnic with your kids and pets within the orchard. You could take an easy hike to the small hill top.The hayride is fun too.You can also go to the corn maze. The apples were plenty, very fresh and very tasty. They have Macintosh, empire, red delicious, golden delicious, mutsu,Cortland and a few like the honey crisps were already harvested. It is about 2 hours drive from NYC and absolutely worth it. The drive from NYC to Wrights farm itself was beautiful with the leaves just turning yellow-orange.Great experience and definitely recommend Wrights Farm as your next PYO destination.
Fruits are really fresh. The one brownie I had was overly sweet for my taste, but I suppose some like it that way.
Great for locals and visitors; lots of fruits, vegetables, and seasonal 'stuff', such as pumpkins in the fall; pick your own apples or buy a bag or bushel; local ice cream, baked products, and the like. We took our children there, and now they are taking our grandchildren.
nice selection of plants and flowers; bakery items aso: cider donuts, small and large fruit pies, reasonable prices; easy to get to, right on route 208
We've driven by on several occasions and on the last we finally stopped in. We should've sooner. Everyone is really nice, it's conspicuous larger than it appears from the road.
