There is a lovely walk between Sopot and Orlowo, along the beach or through the park, ending at Orlowo pier. There are cafes and restaurants at Orlowo. You can walk back or take the train.
It is quit place, fantastic for romantic walk. Near is verry good restaurant called Tawerna Orlowska.
For years, this place has inspired artists, writers, and common folk. It has the charm and the natural beauty which is hard to match. As a pier, it is fine, but the real attraction is the setting.
Orlowo pier is shorter and less frequented than Sopot pier, which for me is an asset. You can rest there enjoyng the view of a beautiful cliff. and then visit Tawerna Orlowska, which overlooks the sea, for a nice meal or take a walk along the beach to Sopot.
The Orłowo pier is part of a beautiful part of public beach front in Gdynia, a favourite with locals for weekend family walks. In the summer the pier and its vicinity are busy from morning till night with tourists and visitors. Beautiful view, seagulls overhead, nice spot rain or shine.
Beautiful beach ranging from Gdynia to Gdansk. There is a small pier and not that many tourists in October. Great place of a small romantic picnic or just sharing a bottle of wine. It is also walking distance from the nice mall
If you would like to take a quiet stroll along the baltic sea in Gdynia and watch the cliff side you have to come to Orlowo Pier - smal but charming
Excellent view over the baltic sea. Nice for a jogg ore a morning/evening stroll. Nice cafes and restaurants.
Is not as crowded as the one in Sopot and is free of charge :) The area is suitable for a nice after lunch/dinner walk (in case weather conditions are also favorable). In the same area you have also a couple of bar/restaurants with acceptable service.
Went on a cruise with Gdynia the port to see Gdansk, which I did not fancy. Guide book gave a quick dismissal of Gdynia, despite this I set off on foot. Walked through some lovely gardens before arriving at this attractive pier. Many interesting ships to explore and a busy harbour with ferry boats coming and going. Plenty of benches to rest on and watch the world pass by. After the pier I took a stroll through a tree lined promenade just behind a clean beach.Plenty of local cafes at very reasonable prices.Glad I missed Gdansk as a good few of my cruise colleagues were not over impressed.
