The library is one of the best sites to dive in Grand Turk, which is saying something, considering the many great dive spots the island has to offer.
First of all, we were stupid and swam all the way to the reef. That's a long swim, especially when the current was rough. By the time we made it to the reef, we were totally exhausted. I had read that this was the best place to see fish and turtles, but we barely saw anything. The fish that we did see, we could have seen anywhere. It definitely wasn't worth the swim for us.
Amazing. That's how I would describe it in one word.. The water clarity is crystal clear the fish are bright and plentiful and the ledge is incredible. It literally goes from 30 to 7000 feet deep. Never seen anything like it. I have seen better and brighter coral but the ledge is absolutely impressive!! A must see for a snorkeling fanatic!!
Fan coral, nurse sharks, fish of all shapes, sizes and colors. this is a Grand Turk must-see. I went with Papa J's Tours and highly recommend them as guides.
We did a night dive here with Smitty and Grand Turk Diving. Saw giant crabs feeding themselves, several good size lobster and many parrotfish tucked into rocks in their mucous cocoon. Then we went to the shallow area, turned off our dive fights and let the fireworks begin. The bioluminescence was amazing, and it looked liked fireworks underwater.
WOW... What a great place to spend a free hours. Take a catamarin and just enjoy the insanely beautiful sights. Loved it
Having scuba and snorkeled in different parts of the world, this was so-so ... but, if you're from a place where you don't normally see tropical fish, etc., I'm sure you will enjoy your visit. I did see several varieties of fish, including a 5 foot nurse shark, but there are several areas of the reef, which were dead. Boat anchors seemed to have done a lot of the damage.
Went snorkeling here in August and it was one of the best snorkel spots I have ever been to. I've been snorkeling in the Bahamas, the Keys, and Mexico and this was one of my favorites. I saw two sharks and a huge variety of fish. The coral was stunning as well
This is a wonderful place with Lots and Lots of fish to see. A must do for snorkelers on Grand Turk.
We really enjoyed snorkling here. It was alot of fun, and the quantity of fish to observe was incredible. Bring your camera and let the fun begin, under water that is.
