My husband and I have just attended the Tennents brewery tour. We had a great time and can't believe we have both lived in Glasgow all our lives and never done it. Our tour guide Marco was good fun, friendly and knowledgable. Would highly recommend.
such a great tour, was not expecting much considering how cheap it was and the promise of a free beer at the end , but our guide was excellent, abit hard to understand at times because of his scottish accent but he was more than happy to explain things again when we asked. You get to right into the production line when its all going witch was awesome, to top it all off we got to try a range of different beers at the end*(so damn fresh) 10 out of 10
Took the tour with my husband for his birthday on 5th March. Harry was the tour guide and was very informative and a great host. Very interesting tour, seeing the process and learning the history of Tennent's. Great pint at the end and the tasting of different lagers. Also excellent value for money. Staff are all friendly and lovely. Thanks
Attended a weekend tour of the well park over the christmas period - overall it was well worth it.The guide flowed through the tour perfectly and learned a lot of new facts about how the beer got its name and how the Wellpark Brewery has evolved over the decades.Lots of memorabilia on display and TV's playing all the famous adverts from years gone by.Plant itself was not in operation being the weekend which may disappoint some but still impressive to see...Nice pint of T at the end of the tour and the opportunity to sample some of their Export Lager - Great Stuff.
I really enjoyed my visit to the Wellpark brewery. The tour was detailed and informative. It felt like a real beind the scenes tour that shows the inner workings of the brewery. One of the best things about the tour was the guide, Marco, who really knew his stuff. More than that though he had an obvious passion for the company/product and that added to the event. The beer tasting at the end was great too and it was good to watch the Tennent's TV adverts from over the years. The tour isn't that expensive and it's really worth doing whether you live in or are visiting Glasgow. Would defintley recommend.
I took this tour in the afternoon of Friday 16th January. It was extemely handy to get there as it was on the route of the hopon-hopoff bus When we finished the our we only had to wait a few moments for the tour bus.Marco our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very helpful and answered the questions readily. I have a disability and he modified the tour to meet my needs. You get a net hat, and cover glasses for parts of the tour.there are headphones available to all customers and this was very helpful.well worth a visit and the pint at the end is lovely. They also give a few samples of other types of tennants to try. Good value for money.only issue was there was a lot of stairs, so anyone with poor mobility may find it difficult to access - but this is clearly statred on the bfreery's website.
I had a fantastic time on the brewery tour. My tour guide Mikey was very informative, funny, and friendly. Got to see practically the entirety of the brewing process, much more than I thought I would see on a tour. The end of the tour included a pint and tasting of some "Export only"/brewery only items. Of all the places I went to and saw in Glasgow, this was definitely my favorite. You cannot miss this tour. After all, Tennants is Scotlands favorite lager.
I did this tour on 20th of feb with some friends, the tour was great and our guide marco was very knowledgeable and funny. The beers at there end were a delicious will definitely recommend to other travelers.
Took this tour last night with my husband. Tour guide was really knowledgable and gave us a brill history of Tennents. Very unexpectantly we were piped into our Burns Supper which was great then had a lesson on whiskey tasting which was enjoyable. We were then piped back to the reception area where we could sample lots of different Tennents brews. Had a brill time and highly recommend a visit
My wife and I did this tour on 6th February 2015. Our tour guide, Marco, was very informative and entertaining and was able to answer all of my questions. After seeing the brewing plant we learned about the Distribution process. The tour ended with an included pint and some samples of Tennents other brews. The actual tour took about an hour and the post tour tasting about half an hour. There are a lot of stairs and steps involved so it would be difficult for people with mobility problems. Overall a very interesting tour, I recommend it :-)
