Our son goes to OSU and we love it. Columbus is a great town and the school is top notch.Undisputed National Champs
The university is everything it's pretentious name implies, THE Ohio State University. Right in the center of campus you fine huge trees and walkways that can lead you to mirror lake . The grounds in spring and summer are landscaped to soften the many buildings. All kinds of architecture can be found on campus. Make sure you visit the Student Union, The Wexner Art Center, the book store and of course, the "Shoe" sports arena. Best of all, if it is a nice day, have a seat near the library and just plain people watch.
OSU campus is a must visit if you are in Columbus. Close to downtown and the Short North the campus area has everything. The Horseshoe Stadium home of the Ohio State Buckeyes, The Schottenstien Center home of the OSU Basketball Team, Jack Nicklaus Golf Museum. Dozens of Bars and restaurants along North High Street.
Wow, IMG's Kudo's to Sarah Wilcox for a fantastic job hosting at the hospitality tent Saturday it was warm & nice the food was excellent. On field access was over the top, every fans dream. Seeing Archie Griffin, Chris Carter, Beanie Wells and all the past OSU champions pre-game was the ultimate! The Buckeye Fans were so loud we couldnt hear the other university's band on the field, marching as fans cheered O H I O round after round. We loved hearing Boo's rain down every time someone in maize and blue entered the field. It was an classic game, our seats were great. Seeing Troy's #10 placed in the "ring of honor": Very impressed when I witnessed true compassion from #98 as he consoled JT, you cant buy class, #98 was born with it. Reminder that Win or Lose, the players are just doing the best they can to reach their dreams. Go Bucks! Thanks IMG/OSU
Loved the campus and if I was a college student I would definitely want to be within this vibrant exciting community of people.
I have not studied on this University, just visited colleagues who does. Compared to the University I was in it looks like way much better place to study. All the infrastructure looks well planned and organized.
Use a map or grab one off your digital device to guide you. Plan a full day to explore the library, student union, RPAC, Mirror Lake, the "Shoe" (stadium) and nearby College Traditions store for a souvenir. Be sure to wear red, black and/or gray..college colors..you'll be glad you did! Lotsa school spirit at OSU <3
A trip to Columbus isn't complete without a visit to the Horseshoe! Impressive. Even though this is a city school, the abundance of trees and open park areas add to the beauty. The varieties of architecture add visual interest to the campus. So much to see and take in at OSU and nearby Short North!
...but so much more. This is a huge campus that is busy with new building but the academics are no slouch either.Working to build on their undergraduate program by requiring a very good point hour to be admitted to the Columbus campus, the graduate schools are some of the best in the country.Law, Medicine, Vet Med, Dentistry, Optometry, etc. etc.Lots of young ( and mature) students learning.
Amazing how this urban campus just melts right into the city. The grounds are beautiful, and the sports are abundant! You can always see something every weekend. Their theatre program puts one some great theatre!
