I went there with with friend who lives in Gig Harbor. We ordered our beer and went to the patio to sit and enjoy the wonderful weather. The patio is on a slight angle. As I position my chair facing toward the pub I sit down and the back two legs buckled under me. I was bruised up and both my elbows were cut on the concrete floor when I went to the bartender and ask for the manager no one was around and she said here's a Band-Aid her cavalier attitude and unsympathetic view ruined the rest of the stay at the pub the chairs were very cheap plastic so be very careful if you sit in them. On the other hand the selection of beer and the taste of the beer was very good
Love this place! They don't have food but they do allow kids. We always pick up a pizza at Spiro's(more expensive than chain but worth it) and then head up after walking on the waterfront. The little one can share pizza with us while we have a pint. The staff is always super friendly. I like to fill my growler up here too. They have an outdoor patio area as well. By the way the new location is right up from the waterfront in a strip mall type building. The address on TA is listed wrong. The real address is:3006 Judson St #110 Gig Harbor, WA 98335Always worth a stop here!
Great local beer! Tasting room means you can bring your family along, and you can order food in from local eateries if you want to have a picnic. Great atmosphere and good people make for an old school family pub vibe.
Wow, their new digs are huge and very close to the Harbor! Fun to sit in the tasting room and watch the action on the brewing room floor through the bay windows.. Beer is tasty, so take a designated driver and try them all..
A lot of locals come and enjoy them selves at this establishment. It is a place where families do come, if you want a place for just adults more luck somewhere else. There are children and babies in the place sometimes. A very open area with seating and bars. The brewery is right next door, so it is a very local and homemade place.
Our second trip through the area had to include a return visit to the 7 Seas Brewing facility. The Stout alone, was worth the trip. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable, and the samples offered, led us to some new tastes. I stuck with my old favourite (the Stout) and was not disappointed. Will go back again.
I had heard of Gig Harbor but paid it no mind until my daughter moved there last year, so naturally I booked a flight into Seattle for a week-long stay. According to the many locals I met, I was lucky to have so much sun during my visit but that's where my luck ended - it was unseasonably cold the entire time I was there. So thank goodness for 7 Seas Brewing. I'm a bit of an IPA nut and theirs is delicious. 7 Seas is also very family friendly and generous with information about their many home brews. Another handy and convenient touch is their listing of Gig Harbor eateries, since they don't offer food at 7 Seas. 7 Seas Brewing is permanently on my "repeat" list and I can highly recommend it.
Went here on a Saturday night and have to say the beer is good, but this place lacks a lot. Basically Saturday night looked like 40's and up club, felt very awkward being 27, 29 with my wife, no where to sit because a bunch of 40-50yr olds were running around drunk. Also there is no food at all, they write local businesses on a chalk board with their phone number for you to order out at, except for most of those businesses don't deliver.... so i guess they expect you to walk to the tides tavern and bring your food bacK??? Why would i just not drink at the tides where I can eat food.... Its bar basics that food keeps cliental longer, spending more money.... not really impressed at all, would likely only go for lunch... except you can't eat their so probably wouldn't stop to just have a beer midday..
This is a great place to have an excellent brew among many choices and rest from your active life. The atmosphere is casual, inviting, and full of great company. You can even bring your own lunch and savor the fellowship. Kids are even welcome and there is outdoor seating for these terrific days of the season.
