We stumbled upon this gem of a water park. We were not planning on doing any water activities but thought "why not give it a try". The park exceeded our expectations. In fact, we stayed well into my child's nap time to enjoy the day. There was plenty of chairs (in & out of shade), different areas to explore, food for purchase, and family fun. It was not overcrowded, even with the kids being out of school. The only down side is the price to get in to the park seemed a little high at first. However, once you get into the park, you really have no other expense. You get a lot for the money. And they have coupons and deals through the website. You get to use tubes for free to go on the lazy river (although there are some available for rental), to go on the slides, etc. We didn't even get to see the entire park because our son migrated to the "kiddie" pool. Great time had by all!!!
this is a great waterpark. there is nice area for little kids. and a wave pool. little kids can even do most of the big slides.
Had a wonderful time on a really hot St.Louis day. Loved the view of the river, the professional staff, the reasonable prices, thrilling rides, and friendly people. This is a hidden gem that reminds me of a country resort tucked away in the middle of nowhere. So much fun.
My grown daughter and I spent another wonderful annual day at Raging Rivers. The staff are helpful and friendly and the water park is well maintained and clean. You can find lounge chairs in the sun or shade, whatever your preference. Any food or beverages ordered are prepared with a smile. The views from the water park of the Grafton River are beautiful. After the water park be sure to visit some of the many restaurants, wineries, candy/icecream store, and resale stores in Grafton. We always make a day of it.
This park was great fun. I thought it was going to be bigger, but there is still plenty of fun for hours. They have pools/slides for little kids and big kids as well.
Raging Rivers is normally a favorite for folks in the Grafton and Alton area. It has about 5 big water slide rides. My favorite is the Swirlpool. There are two of them, one is covered and one open. There are also a couple other "big" slides that are more geared towards a strong swimmer, but there are also plenty of slides for kids. If you just want to float down the endless river or go in the Breaker beach wave pool you can do that too. My only real complaint as far as the park is you can't take any beverages away from the designated dining areas. I personally think it'd be great to float down the endless river with a Pina Colada in my hand. They do HAVE them, but you can't take them anywhere but to a table. That's my biggest issue. There are also a ton of attractions for smaller kids. Itty bitty surf city and another area is specifically for tots and it is really cute. All in all this is a nice place for a couple, friends, or a family.
Like any water park you are going to do a lot of up hill walking, the biggest issue I had was the rides down. You feel like you went back to 1994 in a time machine just for this park. The neatest thing they have here is 1 of those funnel dump things, whew buddy!! If the park would allow the riders to maybe wear water shoes it wouldn't be horrible, the walking part, but the rides which I think there is only 4 water slides in all aren't really worth it. We do go every year though because my children get free tickets thanks to a reading program for that I bumped them from 2-3.
Had a fun time. The prices were reasonably. $5 for parking, great! Not like six flags $20/30 for parking. Low cost to get in, even lower if u catch a deal. Food taste n cost, ok. Good price on locker n tube rental. Lazy river is horribly small. Loved the wave pool. It's a small place, but ok for the money. Didn't notice scantily dressed people when we went.
Had a great time with the ladies from Church. Very reasonably priced and beautiful scenery! Could not tell you were close to the highway. Loved the scenery on the highway, water as far as the eye could see. Easy to get to!
We visited raging rivers near the end of summer. It was a great experience for our children. They got to do the water slides and lazy river and lots more! We brought our lunch to save some money because everything adds up quick! Its easy to spend $100 just walking in the door with a family of 4! But overall everything was clean and nice. It was not overly packed so the lines were not horrible. The view from the waterslides is wonderful. They built the park on a hill over looking the river so while you wait you have a beautiful scenery to look at!
