Thought we were going to a town, however, it was just a little market, so was disappointed. I was looking forward to going to a town that had actual stores, restaurants, that sort of thing, and when we pulled up, we thought we were just picking up people. But nope, this was the town we were going to.
The grounds need to be leveled...need to be careful walking.. I saw vendors bragging to others about how much they were getting form a couple who did not realize how much they were overpaying...in Peso Convertible! In a market you are expected to haggle... anywhere!
Was nice that the market was with in walking distance to where we stayed. The vendors were will to dicker on prices.
5 minutes from our resort, you can bargain the prices, not cheaper that the shops at the Hotel. For 6 pesos you can enjoy a horse ride and a carriage. There is a shop to buy really nice watchs, however, quite expensive considering that our canadian dollars was only Worth 0,77$.
good selection / as long as you don't make eye contact with the sellers they leave you in peace. then stroll down to the beach for a coffee or soft drink
I like to pay a fair price, an agreeable price. You KNOW you're not going to pay $60 for a $20 painting. You need to barter here, and be willing to walk away. If you wanted to pay for it, you would, but you know when people say it's a set price - it should have a price tag. They tell you one thing, and the next person another. Listen, shop around, ask questions.
We loved walking though the flea market it was full of many different items. Dress, to jewelry etc. and you could tell that it was made by someone who cared about what they where making.
I loved shopping at this little market. The people were great at explaining how things are made. you can see they took pride in their work. I loved bartering with the vendors and looking at all the diferent wares they had to offer.
Nice people, nice stuff and you can deal the price if you want a good deal.............................................................
Nice original items on sale. I found the items were good quality compared to the flea market in Holguin City. Prices are also very reasonable and don't forget to haggle.
