Great beach and clear waters! Had some pretty good snorkel spots. Had a fairly intimate trip with smaller group booked directly off the beach at the Bahia Principe La Romana
The snorkeling was breathtaking. The group on the catamaran were great. Boat ride was enjoyable. Did the trip on December 26, day after Christmas. The crew was wonderful. Enjoyed the beach and the lunch buffet was fabulous, did not have to eat the rest of the day. Enjoyed the ride from Santo Domingo to La Romana, it was a good hour and forty five minutes. Well worth the money, would highly recommend it.
They took us right off of the beach at casa de campo. So beautiful. We stayed for 3 hours or so. It was beautiful. Water was clear. A true paradise. The sales people were pretty pushy though. I really wanted to shop. But since my boyfriend pretty much wanted to stay on the beach I only went for a second before feeling uncomfortable. Worth the money for sure.
Beautiful little islandStayed there for a outing when we were at a resort for the afternoon. We had a fairly good lunch and they had beautiful beach (without anyone bothering you - which was a nice change)Con:Bathroom facilities were not very nice.
Amazing day, beautiful beach and the water is amazing. The only downside there is a lot of bugs! Bring some bug repellant.
we visited as part of a dive day so spent most of the time underwater, the eater here is clearer than nearer the mainland but as any diver will know a good storm can ruin that. The diving here is good and the area is used heavily for Snorkelling trips. Many boats bobbing around with people bouncing around on the surface in red jackets, The island itself has beautiful soft sand and clear blue warm waters. There are some vendors and toilets on the Beach but there didn't seem much else to do but sunbath, swim or snorkel, we did see a banana boat so I expect someone offers other activities. The island is uninhabited but busy with tourists during the day.
Catalina Island had a beautiful beach! I just didn't like the rocks at the bottom of the ocean. I also was lucky to have a drink from a fresh coconut, yum!
went on an excursion for the day. Absolutely stunning. Well worth the $80 US it cost. Water is crystal clear, you can snorkle along a cave... AWESOME.
I was lucky enough to spend several hours on this small island with my family. The beach was nice white sand filled with shells and sea glass. The water was cool and clear for sknorling. We enjoyed several beers as we relaxed under palms trees.Because you have to take a boat to get here it kept the numbers of visitors small.
What an amazing snorkeling/scuba diving experience! The water is breathtaking and the beach is pristine! Well worth the money and would highly recommend to all!
