This was a great adventure for all ages. I would definitely do it again and again. The staff was nice. The instructions were clear and we felt very safe. The scenery was beautiful.
Liked zip lining through the treetops. Would have liked it to last longer. Great fun and friendly staff. Bit of waiting around at beginning and during runs waiting for people to catch up.
We were promptly picked up at our hotel by Sam. Short drive to La Marquesa Forest Park from San Juan. At the park, we went up to the top of the hill by cable car, and zip line our way down. Everything was very well organized, and felt safe.On the way back, he gave us the option to stop for some street side local food. Not to be missed!!!
Great day at the park, since it was not crowded. Visited with group of seniors and other adults. Boarding the trolley, however was difficult since it lacks a step for handicap adult, child or wheelbound person to get on. Bathroom facilities need some improvement. Unfortunately there was no water so cleaning maintenace needed frequently. However, La Marquesa is a must to visit in PR. Enjoyed the aviary, the butterflies, the trails , the mountainous scenery, the observatory tower... ( could use a ramp) and restaurant that made it such an enjoyable and relaxing day. Great for children and school trips. It would be great to have a pet farm...an aquarium or an interactive area for young and elderly to enjoy a forest park.So visit and see for yourself... we definately will go back.
I had never zip-lined before this tour. The guides were very reassuring and safety was a priority. Like they said-the scariest one is the first one, after that it was awesome! They fitted us with our harnesses, gave us our gloves and helmets, and off we went. The first platform is a short hike down from the tram stop. Once there, we were given our safety briefing and a demonstration. Then it was on the lines! They have someone on every platform to connect and disconnect you. Everyone was real friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely do this tour again next time I'm in Puerto Rico!
We spent a week on the island with another couple who had never zip lined before I found this site online and they were so helpful planning our day. The park was easy to find from the directions they emailed me. We met our guide who was very friendly we rode the tram up the hill where we went in the bird sanctuary. The birds were well taken care of. The view on top was gorgeous. Our guide went through safety tips and we were off the lines were well maintained and we felt safe the whole time. I was able to bring my camera along and got great shots of our group. One of the members of our group was really scared but the guide helped her through and we all had a blast. I would recommend them for all ages as a great place for beginners but fun for those who have experience. Thank you for a great day.
My SIL and I took the Canopy tour as part of a Cruise. We arrived in port at 8am and the shuttle picked us up. Our group of 10 (ages 10-60) piled into the van and away we went for a 25 minute adventurous drive. Once we arrived at the facility, the staff prepped us on our activity. . After a safety briefing, we took a stroll thru the forest and made our way to the first platform. In each of the stops, the staff made sure our safety was their highest priority and explained everything in perfect english or spanish.I recall about 10-12 different platforms in all with a fairly exhausting walk up a steep hill at the finish where water was handed out.Once we finished, the van took us back to the port where we were dropped off.I highly recommend this tour.http://www.canopytourpr.com/
The zipline tour, although scary, was really fun and the view atop was really breathtaking. We got some exercise too. We were transported by a cable car to our first platform and that was fun too. I had a bad experience with one of the guides. He was very impatient and mean. The rest were really nice and friendly.
This tour has something interesting for everyone. Whether you prefer the Zipline tour, hiking, train ride, aviary, mariposario, palmetum, young and mature will enjoy it. The zipline is awesome, thrilling! The telesferico ride is amazing. Nature and vegetation at its best. The forest was once a coffee plantation. During our hike we passed a few mango trees and collected some that had fallen to the ground. Lucky us! There's also a cafeteria. In our tour, we shared with a 6 year old boy who handled the 8 tiros de canopy like an expert. The personnel accompanied a more mature visitor through the glides and the hiking and never left her alone. The staff is very efficient, experienced, knowledgeable and you feel safe in their company. Definitely this is a must visit for locals and tourists! Reservations suggested.
Zip Lining here was so fun, and especially great for a first timer. The scenery is very forest like and beautiful. The staff keeps the mood light and entertaining. There is a great bird exhibition as well as a tram ride.
