Enjoyed the crafts, fresh meat, fruit and outdoor section. We bought fresh chicken to take home, local honey and treats!
We are always looking for farmers who are there and can truthfully answer questions like, how the animals were treated, what are they feed. The only one that is clearly a farm vendor is Thatcher Farms, all the others seem to be resellers.
As the title says, its a great place to cool down on a hot summers day, but not much more than that. Its great for the little ones but as mine are getting older they are starting to get board with this water feature. It can also be very hard to find parking also, but on the up side I love the shade, the clean bathrooms and the friendly atmosphere.
I would say that this farmer's market is right up there with the bigger ones. It has a great mix of outdoors and indoors vendors with a lot of diversity of things to buy. We especially like the donuts, honey and native plants.
Guelph's new Market Square area is new and improving. The summer splash pad area will become an ice rink. The new city hall area is conveniently located close to the new transit hub drawing more people to the downtown core. Now we need some non sports bar facilities to draw the foodies into the core.
We love the Guelph Market Square. What a wonderful place to cool off in the summer and skate in the winter. Great for famlies.
Clean, with some unique shops and bonus, nice central clean washrooms which other malls lack. Nice area to come and sit to get out of the weather.
Lots of independent restaurants and shopping. Everything from books to hats to jewelry and antiques. Great public water park feature for the kids with variable fountains and lighted at night. Tourist info closed with the city hall at 4:30. Would be nice if it were open later. Close to bus and train (Via and Go) station.
There is truly nothing so wonderful as to see the children splashing in the wading pool in the summer or skating in the winter, Finally we have a place downtown where we can draw families to enjoy a focus to civic living. Look what happens when you care enough to make a living gathering place!
A nice variety of shops and restaurants in the old part of the city. Now that skating has been added, a great weekend getaway for locals and tourists. Other than that, not close to other attractions, no seamless flow to the river.
