  For anyone dedicated to personal and/or family fitness, the Texas County YMCA in Guymon, Oklahoma is a must-go-to. The fitness center, while not large, has an excellent array for treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, and free weights. My favorite workout here is the aquatics center, offering three (count them--3!) pool areas. The 8-lane, 25-meter swimming pool has a large section dedicated to water aerobics and family swim, and the rest (usu. 4 lanes) available for lap swimming . The bad news is that the community does not use this gift to the extent it and they deserve--the good news is that I've never had to wait for a lane and have always had one to myself. For those doing water walking/running or therapy, you'll enjoy a separate 25-meter thereapy pool. And after your workout, enjoy the whirlpool/hot tub.The locker room is clean and well maintained (as is the entire facility), with plenty of lockers (bring your own lock) as well as showers and bathroom facilities.Staff are helpful and friendly.
