Small hill but perfect for beginners. Two of my three kids learned to ski as children. They have a great program
As a skier, it was my first time at this local mountain with the purpose of bringing my stepson for his first lesson. What a gem of a place. He had a great first time with Morgan who was fun and encouraging. I loved that I could get a few runs after his lesson for $20 (day rate). If you're looking for a challenge, this mountain is not the place for you, but for local family fun with easy terrain, it's perfection.Rental staff was also great. Only reason for not a 5 star was information desk staff wasn't overly friendly, but they weren't awful.
A great place for kids and others to learn to ski. It also provides those needing to relearn skiing skills. Nice, local and inexpensive.
Bradford is a nice place to ski for young children or families looking for something close. The parking lot is fine if you get there early but gets overcrowded on a busy day. I believe it is $46 for a lift ticket which seems a bit high but they do offer a 6 pack for $240 making it $40 per ticket. I know they offer this on the weekends as I have only been there during the weekend. They have a several short trails and a few lifts. It is nice that young children can get a change to go up many different lifts (carpet, 2 person, 4 person). The lodge is extremely small and I would note it can be uncomfortable on busy days. There is one big fireplace that is nice and the bathrooms are always packed. Be prepared to wait in lines on busy days.I wish Bradford would set up a portable heated tent (like Ward) near the far side to help with the crowds on days where its overly busy. We decided to eat in the back of the car rather than stand and eat in the lodge one day.Overall, great place should you not want to drive to up North. Enjoy!
Three of my children learned how to ski and snowboard here. They have great teachers and it is a small enough hill that the kids could get many runs in to help hone their new found skills.
We love to ski way up north, but it's not always possible to do so. It's great to have Bradford so close to home. It's like a mini vacation from "real life." When you can't get up north and want to ski or board come on over to Bradford.
Great ski resort for everyday skiing. Close to home so you don't have to travel. You can ski during the week at night also!
Old-fashioned small ski hill. Great for beginners and families with young kids. Staff can be surly. Your woman at ticket booth was outright rude, didn't even thank me for my money. Food is not very good. Lodge is crowded and dirty.
First, I am not a good skier. So Bradford is OK by me rather than trucking up North. If you're a pro best go elsewhere but for families I think this place is great. One thing, bring your own food and beverages. I just think that makes sense. We always get there early but later parking can be an issue especially during school vacation periods. The trails are fairly short, not very difficult. Fine for me and younger people but you must judge accordingly. I really don't use the lodge but people say it's nothing special. More bathroom facilities might help.I
We are so lucky to have a nice ski spot so close. They provide lessons, cafe food! pizza! hot dogs, ect. It is kinda crazy busy during the after school ski programs but room for the mom's to sit and chat while the kids ski.
