This is a good place to gather information about the city and things to do. The staff were friendly and very helpful
Ten dollar tourf from the center hat worth every penny. Great history lesson. Good maps of the city and state
Lake Havasu City Visitors Center is full of local history and stories. This is the place you would want to start to get a feeling of this oasis in the desert and to pick up information to help you get the most out of your stay.
The visitor's center has the usual tourist oriented brochures and such, and also carry books and maps that you can purchase, including trail guides to all the local trails and parks. there is a small shop carrying goods made by local artists.
Good location by the bridge. All the usual maps and flyers along with a brief, but interesting, display on the history of Lake Havasu City.
The women working here were really nice and very helpful with maps, information, directions. We told them we might move there and were meeting with a realtor, and they told us how much they love Havasu and why.
When we stopped by, we actually walked up to the ceremony for officially making the saying "Home of the London Bridge" the new tagline for Lake Havasu City. We got to see the mayor speak for a bit; and then the 'key to the puzzle' was presented to the city. The 'key to the puzzle' being the large drawing of the London Bridge -- showing where each numbered block of granite was supposed to be placed to re-assemble the bridge correctly. We got the opportunity to chat with the man responsible for obtaining that amazing piece of history --- whose father was actually the civil engineer on the project! Along with him was another 'pioneer' of the city (meaning they moved there prior to 1970'ish, I forget the exact year). A very cool experience!
Pamphlets, brochures and maps - check out the London Bridge video presentation. Decent prices on tourist items.
Be sure and stop by the Lake Havasu City Visitor Center for information on the London Bridge and different events going on in the city. October thru May seems to have something going on every weekend!
This Visitor Center located next to London Bridge was a great place to start our vacation stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were maps and booklets and information galore available to help us plan our activities. A short video was available to learn more about the bridge. Inside the center were many exhibits to help vacationers learn more about the area. And of course - there were souvenirs available for purchase! There were restrooms located right outside and many shops close by.
