A beautiful scenery for a beautiful building. Stift Heiligenkreuz lies in a valley surrounded by hills that have protected its 900 years history. You will be surprised with the small beautiful details in the various parts of the building. I had the chance to visit it several times and each time I was surprised and enriched.

Es ist immer wieder schön, hierher zu kommen und das Stift zu genießen.Bei einer Wanderung von Perchtoldsdorf ist dies der erste tolle Höhepunkt.

The Stift has been around for a thousand years. The walled propriety has several buildings open to the public and much of the grounds is open also to walk around. If you are there in the evening take time to attend Vespers. You may have to ask for the location because it changes in the winter. They also have a restaurant with outstanding food and staff. Food is often local and wild boar and deer are often on the menu. Deserts are fantastic. The garden has the stations of the cross. Perfect place of contemplation for an afternoon.

Nog een zeer aktieve cisterzienzerabdij met 82 monniken met uitstraling gelegen nabij Wenen. Een zeer groot steunpunt van de Roomskatholieke kerk (abdij, hogeschool houtzagerij, biomassacentrale enz...............) Het klooster is sinds zijn stichting in 1153 blijven uitstralen.Als toerist bewonderen wij de kerk gotisch met barokinvloeden maar ook sporen van zijn romaanse oorsprong; maar ook de kapittelzaal en de kloostergang en niet te vergeten het Heilig Kruis tentoongesteld boven het hoofdaltaar.Reservering is aanbevolen.

Freunde haben uns anlässlich eines Wiens-Besuchs einen Ausflug nach Heiligenkreuz empfohlen, nur eine knappe halbe Stunde vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. So konnten wir in der romanischen Stiftskirche auch das tägliche Chorgebet erleben: die eindrucksvollen Choräle der Mönche (sie sind auch auf CD veröffentlicht und sollen in England sogar in der Hitparade gelandet sein) sind ein großartiges, auch nicht-fromme Zuhörer berührendes Erlebnis. Unbedingt empfehlenswert! Anmeldung (außer größere Gruppen) ist nicht notwendig, die Kirche ist groß genug.Auf der Homepage des Kloster finden sich genauere Informationen über die Zeiten.

１２７３年にルドルフ１世が神聖ローマ帝国の皇帝に選ばれたのを機に、ハプスブルク家はめきめきと頭角を現し、オーストリアを統治したのですが、それをさかのぼること約１４０年前、当時オーストリアを統治していたバーベンベルク家のレオポルト３世によって、１１３３年に創立されたシトー派の修道院として建造されたものです。中庭には金色の装飾が載ったペスト記念塔が建てられています。
