So it wasn't a terrible place, by any means, there was just nothing to make it special either. I'd recently gotten into this whole foursquare thing, as it's kinda fun to use when traveling. Shows your friends where you've been, what you're up to, etc. So when I saw FFFF had a Special on draft beer, I thought "what the hey," let's give it a shot. The bartender, who was courteous and funny, said "We don't honor that. I don't even have a button for that." He said it in a funny way that made us both laugh, but in actuality, this shows a disconnect between the owners and those on the ground. I'm big on being 100% upfront with Customers, and selling a beer at half-price shouldn't require owner/manager approval. There really isn't much of a view from here either. You can see a slew of other restaurants and bars, but it's not actually on the pier (water). While there was outdoor seating, there was no table service (this was a Thursday night, around 11pm). Price was a bit high for what we got, but not outrageous for Hermosa Beach. Also, I'm not sure why this is listed as an "Attraction" on trip advisor. It's a bar.
Read in the paper that Fat Face Fenner's was to close on October 1st. I haven't walked by in the two days since, but call ahead if that's your destination. I'll go by today to confirm and post another review if I'm wrong (or remove this one).Apparently there was a dispute with the landlord.FFFF will be missed.
Horrible food, service and dirty enviroment. Place needs to be torn down and rebuilt.
this was our third visit in 2 years and this time we ended up there because other restaurant/bars on the pier were all full. I remembered some good fish and fries a year ago, but this time, the fish turned out mushy and greasy. Beer selection was also limited, only one IPA on tap. Place looked more run down than last year and most people were just inside drinking and watching a game.
I found this bar/restaurant by accident, but I'm glad I did. Being originally from Boston, I was glad to find a place like this in California. The atmosphere reminded me of Sports Bars back home with Bruins, Red Sox on the big T.V.'s which were easily seen from any corner of the place. Food was Excellent and Beer was Ice Cold. Great Staff, they were very personable. I highly recommend this place to anyone going to the Hermosa Beach area.
One of the Best Happy Hour's in Hermosa. Fish Taco's are some of the best in Hermosa. The 2nd story open air view of Pier Ave comes in second, right behind Hennessey's. Great place to people watch.
ハモサビーチのビアにつながるレストラン街(?)です。雰囲気の良いお店がたくさんあるので、どこでランチするか決めるのも楽しいひと時です。ビーチで遊んでランチして、、、一日楽しく過ごせますよ。
The reason we left the bar across the street was because it was so crowded and had NO dance floor! This was a nice little place with great drinks, good music and a dance floor. It wasnt too crowded, although it got busier as the night went on! Great place to meet new people!!
Went to watch USA soccer game. Place was very busy as we expected. Ordered appetizers of wings and artichoke/spinach dip. Wings were tasteless and came out of the kitchen without being sauced. Sent artichoke dip back it was so bad. Was promised it would come off our bill. Ordered our food and after an hour was told they were working on it. another thirty minutes passed still no food. (Only stayed as the game was not over) We were then told the kitchen lost our order. Asked for the manager and were told the manager is the one who lost the order. When a bill came the dip was still on. Told waitress and she took it off. She returned with revised check. Really thought she should have voided the entire check due to all the screw ups. Paid and left. Will never return.
