This past week we had friends from Sweden visiting us here in South Florida. We wanted to give them an experience like no other and Marshall delivered. He took his time and explained the many birds, animals and water systems that make up the Everglades. His family has been in the Everglades for generations and the knowledge he has is amazing. We have experienced other airboat operation in the Everglades, but this one is by far the best. We will be coming back again with our out-of-towners.
Well I'm a florida native and never been to macks before ive always heard of it. And this weekend my husband william and I spent Fri - sunday in a cabin there and it was indeed paradise!!!!. We didn't go on the airboat but we will be going back again this weekend for his birthday. Words of advice pack tons of mosquito repelent because there extreme in numbers and the size of birds but thats basically everywhere in florida. The activites are endless Fishing, bbqing, bonfires, boat rentals airboats, buggy rides, canoes, swimming with the gators for those who are not just brave enough but respectful of nature and there habitat, the memories i will take with me are the children's laughter, birds singing in the morning and cricket's fireflies serenade you at night beautiful sunrises and sunsets and nightly music sitting around the campfire having a blast with fellow campers and the owners and there families i loved the conversations before bed only to wake up and do it all over again the next day. Marshall,Nicole, there little ones, Nicoles father, Will and Paul, all made us feel like family. It hurt to go home and I've never felt that way on vacation before till now. And because of that we will be regulars we are already planning for this weekend ♡ yes this place gets under your skin into your blood and becomes another home. Couples and families wanting to get closer this is a great way to do so i will pass the word of this place to everyone and who know those of yall reading this we may just see ya there. Love you guys See ya soon ♡ Danielle(short stack) and Will (hey hey hey) lol
My girlfriend and I have been wanting to take an everglades fanboat tour for some time now and decided to go ahead and do it this year. We decided to go to Mack's based on a recommendation from a ship captain in Key Largo who said "if you want a real authentic everglades fanboat tour, the only place to go is Mack's." That statement couldn't have been any more true. Immediately upon meeting the owner and our soon to be tour guide, Marshall, we knew we made the right decision. They had smaller, more comfortable fan boats and Marshall made sure that our tour was completely personalized. And by personalized, I mean that we got to stop whenever we wanted to and even got closer looks at wildlife anytime we wanted. This is something that you won't get on any other fanboat tour. Other tours just bus people in like ants and follow a short preset course and operate by the clock. Another great thing about his tours are that you see the wildlife in it's natural habitat which is truly amazing. Big boat commercial tours will show you wildlife, but it will feel like a zoo where the animals are used to seeing and being fed by people. Marshall is clearly passionate about what he does and has to be the most knowledgeable person on everglades wildlife out there. If we had a question, he had an answer. This tour will take you on a journey out into the everglades that you will never forget. You pay a little bit more for the tour, but man is it worth every penny. He's not out there pushing you into his gift shop to buy a bunch of crap either. Instead, he'll offer you sunscreen and water. Needless to say I will be returning in the future for one of his fishing trips! P.S.- He even gave me a chance to drive the fanboat! Who else does that?!
We visited Mack's in conjunction with a trip to Miami to attend a Dolphins game. I am certainly happy that we took the time for the Everglades tour. It was excellent! Very informative, comprehensive and downright fun. I learned so much about the Everglades on the trip. I highly recommend it.Mike R.
I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend's 50th birthday, but also something his 12-year old twin boys would also appreciate. Mack's custom airboat tour totally filled the bill. As other reviewers have said, Marshall's knowledge of the everglades and its various ecosystems is unending. It's like he has a PhD in the glades' flora, fauna and conservation. But he is also attuned to his audience, so that in addition to all the information my boyfriend and I enjoyed getting, the kids had a blast driving the airboat and getting up close to see alligators. Marshall was also very accommodating. At the time we were scheduled to depart for our tour, it began pouring rain. Marshall made efforts to push back the tours behind us so that we could wait out the rain and still get our full time in. I would unequivocally recommend taking an airboat tour with Marshall. You won't be disappointed. My boyfriend said it was the best birthday present he ever got! An added benefit, for animal lovers like us, is that Marshall and his family rescue hurt or abandoned animals and have a number of these rescued dogs and cats around the place, all of whom are very friendly. For us, that made the experience even more special. We can't wait to go back on another trip to Florida and do the airboat trip at night.
Awesome time had by all, would definitely go back!!! The tour guide/owner Marshall is very knowledgeable and allows for a great time to be had by all!!! I would recommend this airboat ride for everyone young and old.
Marshall was really knowledgeable and very nice we got to see plenty of wildlife and have a fun ride .to top it off it was a beautiful day
This is the ONLY authentic Everglades experience! Marshall and Nicole, from the time you arrive, make you feel like apart of their historic and meaningful family. I have been there many times and have brought friends and family there to take in the many unknown features of the Everglades. Thank you for the great tours and memories every time I turn off Krome Ave. and head to Macks Fish Camp!!!
Awesome trip, Marshall is the man to educate his clients on the flora and fauna in the area and to turn us all into conservationists, which is precisely what the area needs, great fun
