This is our favorite movie "place"----doesn't seem right to call it a theater because it is so much more!!The menu offers great sandwiches, appetizers and light dinners. Having a full bar that stocks premium liquor is a treat! The service has always been excellent for us!Suffice it to say that we find it difficult to watch a movie now at any other theater!!Can't beat first run movies, a nice cocktail and dinner in huge recliner type chairs! Our rating is. 10+!
This place smells like vomit in the halls. Food is mediocre and best. Chairs are uncomfortable. Go to Easton AMC if you must eat during a movie, otherwise, AMC Dublin has reclining seats and quieter atmosphere.
Great place to meet for a first date. You can have drinks at the bar to chat first, then have dinner while you watch a movie. If things are going well, head back to the bar. Food is okay, drinks are reasonable.
Seating is comfortable and the food is decent. Not 5-Star Restaurant Food, but more like Bar Food. Hsve not been there for about a year so place may have declined.
Was unprepared for this theater. We stumbled upon it because another "big" cinema was sold out of our show. What a wonderful concept! Chairs in the front were a big wobbly from use but other wise it was great. Only had the chocolate milkshake, which was to die for! Looking forward to a return visit for dinner AND a show!
The atmosphere and tankers (Giant mugs) of beer are very good. Movies are affordable. Be cautious with the food. Their slider burgers are very good. We also enjoyed the nachos. But I have had things that taste pre-made or have been frozen. Basically, if you want an amazing meal, don't eat here. If you can be satisfied with a generic cheeseburger, this will do. Servers are usually very polite and do not distract from the movie
Having real food and a beer with a movie sounds like a great thing. Unfortunately when it comes to the Movie Tavern, while the beer is good, it is horribly overpriced, and the pub-style food is really hit and miss. Service is generally very good but in busy periods can be really slow. Genuinely recommend that if you're going to see a movie here you should arrive 30 minutes before the start. And if you want a drink, buy it at the bar before you get seated. At least that way you don't have to wait for it...!
It's ok to watch a movie here although the renovation of the theaters around town have clearly distanced themselves with the comfy seats and others offering dinner type settings. I would caution anyone from ordering the food. I heard the Health Dept. had sighted them several times for unclean kitchens. My last experience was ordering pizza, it was cold and not cooked all the way, when I asked to have it removed from the billl the manager acted as if I had eaten half of it and wanted to get over on paying. The truth is I took two bites, come on it's dark and difficult to see what you eating. Anyway.. wouldn't return there are too many other good choices around the city!!
This visit was fun for the 5 of us who decided to go to a movie, and then, decided we might have some extra fun eating their too. The servers were attentive, did not distract us while watching the movie. And, the food was good. It was just fun!
Nothing beats eating and watching a movie at the same time! Especially when your getting served throughout the show and it's not me doing the serving like at home. You flip your light on and someone will be over to help you. It's amazing, and with a full service bar you can also have a cocktail or 2 during the show.
