We take the family here at least once a year for the very best dinner you can get in the Valley - compare it to your favorite steakhouse and you'll agree with me, tough to find better anywhere. Vaule - OMG yes!!!Service - wonderful and charming.
Lovely golf course with lovely views , and interesting and challenging holes. Lots of wildlife - deer and geese and pheasants . Play was delayed yesterday because of a bear up a tree on the fairway ! Unfortunately they only book a couple of days in advance and this course is very popular . If you can get there at 7am, They might be able to slot you into 9 holes on the back north course -- the best bit IMHO and a lovely way to start the day.
The food was very taste and meet expectations as advertised. The staff however was very impressive....very customer oriented and fast....I got tired watching them scramble around
Excellent service Beautiful old building on golf course Varied menu Definitely fine dining Beautiful area
Though I do not golf, I do cross-country ski, to which the Whitefish Golf Club fully and enthusiastically caters in the winter time. They have a very reasonable day-pass fee of $8, paid via the "honour system", a little rental and pro shop open 7 days a week with at least one super helpful and friendly lady should you have any questions, and gorgeous scenery.I had only brought my skate skis along with me (I didn't want to deal with grip wax this trip) and the groomer cleans up the trails every morning by about 8:30 or 9:00. I'm not sure how often they track-set for classic, but I believe it's every few days. I enjoyed a lovely ski throughout the entire course, my favourite being the Lost Loon Lake loop. It isn't a massive course, but it has a lovely mix of rolling terrain, twists and curves, straights and flats, etc.Because they are open 24 hours with 4 km of lovely ambient trail lighting all night long, I returned in the evening to enjoy the trails again. I was lucky enough to enjoy a clear night, so skiing along the soft lamplit trails and seeing the stars across the sky was really special and wonderful.A great ski, well worth a measly $8 trail fee!
My husband enjoyed his morning golfing. He was put with locals who didn't seem to like tourists. He still had fun and enjoyed the hilly course.
We cannot say enough about the consistent excellent meals and service! The staff is always super friendly!and the hostess is the absolute best! She always takes great care of us!,,,
A great course (south) at twilight rates. Unfortunately they seem to let the local homeowners jump on the course and slow down a brisk pace of play. Probably not worth the full rate.
This used to be a country club & it still has lots of older people & golfers, but the food & service never fail. It's one of the best dinners in Whitefish.
90 year old dining room w/ fabulous food. Had the fresh wild salmon w/ chipolte sauce, mashed potatoes, caesar salad (delicious), butternut squash, fresh baked great and huckleberry pie w/ ice cream. Log dining room and bar. Sit outside on deck during day, 5:30 they start grilling outside to enjoy the daylight till 10:30 on a summer night. Fish tacos at lunch outside on the deck worth having. Staff very warm giving the professionalism you deserve. Went back the 2nd. night for another winner, pistachio crusted halibut.
