great location for another photo opportunity when in the area, again this is another little gem right next to the road so is easy to access and offers ample parking.
Really lovely falls and an extraordinary sight on the way to Whistler. Very easy and fast walk from the highway.
Just a scenic drive from Vancouver, Brandywine Falls is a beautiful location and falls. They are massive. Getting to the falls once you arrive at the location is a gentle walk to the actual location, to the falls. Once there, the sound of the falls is beautiful and looking over the safe lookout the feeling of power will move. Just a few yards further, a whole new vista of mountains and a lake. Seeing this in summer is magical, in winter, the view must be breathtaking. Well worth the drive, we'll worth the short walk.
This is a plunge falls, not the usual splashing down the mountain side. This magnificent water fall plunges 85 feet off the edge of a cliff right into the river below. And the best part is that you are looking at it from above. Beautiful B.C. at it's best! It's an easy 10-15 min. walk on a well maintained trail through a fragrant and tranquil West Coast forest. An experience that shouldn't be missed and sure to impress visitors to B.C. and anyone who hasn't yet seen this!
We pulled off the highway on our way back south from Whistler. You walk from the carpark and cannot hear much but follow the signs. Then you see a small creek of water on your right and, before you know it, you hear the thunderous sound of the falls. It was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend visiting both Brandywine Falls and Shannon Falls, both between Whistler and Squamish as they are two different types of falls. At Shannon, you are viewing the fall from the bottom whereas at Brandywine, you are at the top. They really complement each other. Definitely worth a visit.
The hike to the falls is no more than a half mile, if that, and it is fairly level and easy. The falls seem to come out of nowhere and the viewpoint offers some spectacular views. This is a must see for anyone traveling through the area with a few minutes to spare!
Brandywine Falls is one of the many nice waterfalls in the Whistler-Squamish area, and it is definitely worth at least a half hour of your time to see it -- 5+ minutes reading the provincial park interpretation boards in the parking lot, the 5+ minute walk from the parking lot, 10+ minutes viewing the falls from a few different vantage points along the 300m path above Cheakamus River, and the 5+ minute walk back to the parking lot.
This is a beautiful little stop just off the highway, and easy walk that any one could do. Also those guest who are disabled could get out there, even my friend could with her wheelchair. Beautiful any time of year as well, however the gate closes in the winter months so access is not quite as easy.
Just a short walk from the car park is this magnificent waterfall. Great viewpoint. Well worth stopping off to see it on the way up to Whistler.
Ample parking with only a short walk to the viewing deck to take pictures of the waterfall and get some fresh air.
