This is a must see in Itacare, the adventure of getting there thourgh the jungle is topped by the breath taking views of this beach. Amazing!
It was too hot when I went here, but the walk from Itacare was really nice, we saw howler monkeys in the forest and the beach itself was stunning. There's not a bad little wave, but it's quite a long way to carry your board.
An easy 45 minute walk from Ribeira beach. The trail starts near the river at Praqia da Ribeira and follows the blue drainage pipe. Always look out for the pipe at the beginning and keep right until the cataracts which you go across and then it's straight to the beach. No need for a guide. The beach is good but not, in my opinion, as "over the top" as other reviewers say. I think Jeribucacu beach nearby is more beautiful and much more fun. And there is always Espello beach near Caraiva in Bahia and Jericocoara in Ceara.
To get to the beach you must take a 1 hour trail. The walk is not difficult, but you must be careful not to get lost. The view when you arrive at the rocks is amazing! After that, you have to walk only 5 minutes to get to a paradisiac beach.
The hike to this beach is fun; I did it in flip-flops and a bikini! You cross a river, go for a swim if you want, buy a coconut along the way, reach a field of palm trees and a stunning view of the waves hitting the rocks, keep walking a little bit further and you've reached it... unspoiled, pristine, tropical paradise. Not to be missed!
One of the best beaches I'ver ever seen with little gastronomy but lots of nature. Excellent waves, perfect for surfing.
No wonder everybody claims this is one of the nicest beaches in Brazil. It is absolutely gorgeous! Well worth the 40 minute walk through the forest. Be sure to hire a guide, easy to get lost we found on our way a few ,smart, tourists looking for help.
a slightly adventurous (without a guide) walk up river and through rainforest (with surfboard) for 40 mins revealed a beautiful (and quiet) beach - luckily someone was there to sell well needed beer and coconut water. Good strong surf on my visit for rusty surfers.....
Worth the hour walk. Follow someone or take a guide. Awesome spot, place for a drink and snack. Surf is good! Do it!
Walking an hour to this beach is totally worth it. Make sure to get good directions (hostel/hotel will tell you) but it is a relatively simple trek. About 3/4 of the way there, there is a beautiful view point where we saw turtles. I completed the walk in flip-flops but trainers would most probably have been better. This beach is a must whilst staying in Itacaré but take enough food as there is no where to buy any once you are there!
