The typical city park. Centrally located, easy access and ample parking. A huge green and lush park with tropical birds everywhere. People jogging or walking and lovers embracing. Lots of activities like kids parties, judo practice and yoga, football, anything that could be fun outdoors. In a city where security is such a problem, this park is the antidote. Thousands of Caracenos exercising and having fun outdoors. Like Luxembourg in Paris or Central Park in NY. Delightful!
This must be one of the most beautiful nature parks in the world. Upkeep may not be optimal (after all, this is Caracas) but it is adequate. And the landscaping makes up for any shortcoming.
Nice sights, nice environment for jogging and feel nature !!! eating rest and dream !!Best in Ccs, jogging and natural sights in middle of city
Years ago this was a very nice park to have fun with family. Main entrance if filthy and really loud. Once inside it gets better, but no so much. If you want to jog very early, it is ok to do it
Caracas as a whole is a sprawling and often menacing city. In the middle, however, is a center of refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Parque del Este probably had it's heyday 20 years ago, but it is still fascinating and beautiful. Walking through the park is like walking through a jungle and exotic plant paradise. It is not uncommon to walk alongside huge iguanas. Some sections of the park are more populated, especially on the weekends when hundreds of young people practice break dancing, cheerleading, parkour, and a host of sports. If you are an American or European visitor you may initially feel intimidated but our family has been there two times and both experiences have been pleasant. I have been to many parks in South America and the Parque del Este is definitely one of the most impressive even if it has seen better days.
Burle Marx- a world class Brazilian arquitect - designed this lovely place. Again, is difficult toseparate real quality landscaping & gardening with my own childhood experiences of the great time spent here playing, contemplating, sharing, running. Recent times have shown a decline in infrastructure maintenance. It does deserved a visit just to relax and have a great, nearly un obstructed view from the big mountainous range that framed the north side of the city. There is some animals kept captive- not in the best space conditions- but great chance to see the rare American " tiger" ( a couple of nice jaguars sleep on rocks) and the mighty South American eagle( Aguila Arpia) The best kept secret lays in its Astronomic Planetarium. Despite " the vintage" experience of watching the sky reflected on his spherical structure you have the chance to explore a little exhibition around showing some lunar rocks brought back from the Apollo XI
A lovely park in the middle of the city. The park has a metro station, the station is directly outside the park. There are many plants typical of the country and animals to look at. The animals are fenced. There are minor water areas. I was there on a Saturday, there were many activities and many people but there is plenty of room.
Nice place to hang out with your friends and play some sports. They hold free Dance-therapy or Sumba classes every Saturday in the morning. I love that this place gives the option to recycle.
Beautiful park in Caracas with some poorly maintained monkeys and birds, and full of great people watching as caraqueños stroll here on a daily basis. Come on Sunday morning for a tai chi class or to watch some very talented kids break dance of perform capoiera.
this is a very nice park to spend a whole day and do a picnic, watch the animals, just walk around. It is pretty big so it's good for exercising as well. If you go in the morning you will see a lot of people exercising. Also they offer free yoga classes somewhere around the park. It's easy to get there since you can take the subway and it is right there
