Felt a little like animation and i loved it. The colours are great and it is a sight to see especially if you love buildings
The building reminds me of the Guggenheim in Bilbao, very strange angles and curves. Beautiful to look at. Inside is just as weird. They have kind of made the building a homage to the pranks MIT students have played on campus. I really liked this building.
Visitors should ride the elevators up to the top to see views within and outside the building. Also try to go up to the fourth floor and walk into the central part of the building to see the vertigo-inducing Kiva room. Cafe and restaurant on first floor are decent options for visitors.
If in Cambridge don't miss this architecture. One of a kind in the Boston area and great place to hangout.
Stop off at the Strata center for a disorienting amble through an unusual building with a lot of great art. Watch the smart folks at work-- and see how the building works (and doesn't). It is Frank Gehry's contribution to MIT.If you don't care about architecture --save your time.
You have to see this building! It has a crazy architecture. I heard that during its construction it had collapsed several times because of its nearly impossible architecture. It just looks crazy, very special.
Uma arquitetura moderníssima, com muitas belezas para admirar. Vale a pena conferir e deleitar-se!!!
When have you given a double take at a campus building, and was it because it looked like it had begun to melt? The Stata Bulding is beautiful and fun and worth seeing. Go inside if you can, no right angles.MIT campus has a lot of functional rectangular buildings. Gehry gives all that predictability a rest and let's imagination roam. Lots of photo opportunities too.
Ray & Maria Stata Center .... édifice au design sorti tout droit d'une bande dessiné tellement c'est irréaliste !!
OK, talvez um arquiteto apreciaria mais, mas pra mim achei que era nada demais. Tem um lanchonete dentro com comida para estudantes. Também, nada demais!
