I think this Hmart is much cleaner than the one on Pleasure Hill. I frequently see half-rotten fruits still for sale in the PH Hmart, but never here. I normally shop here around after 8:30 pm, when they will have some pre-packaged food on sales near the check-out lines :).
This is an Asian theme grocery store and they have some of thebest fresh seaford in the metro area. You can even select live fish from their tank and have them cleaned to your specifications. They have a wide variety of fresh fish and your purchased is cleaned for you while you shop. Super Hmart also sells hard to find asian food item and htey have very competitive prices for groceries, meat, and seafood
This is a great fresh produce and asian market. The prices are very competitive, especially when a certain item is in season. I buy primarily produce and asian type items such as sesame oil, various types of soy sauce and other ingredients I use when cooking in my wok. The meats are high quality and you can find cuts here that you won't find in a standard market. Highly recommended.
Hmart's prices are okay if you have coupons (have a rewards membership with them). Assi Plaza is better.
used to be very interesting place with wide variety of sea food. the quality went down. prices went up
SAVE YOUR MONEY AT H MART!!Everything is much cheaper than other stores. Don't forget for weekend super sale and coupon book.
This is my favorite place to shop for grocery! Lots of selections and very fresh. I do my shopping here.
Me and my husband went to this store for shopping Korean grocery and we tried some Korean food there food was very nice.
I'm 100% American but have been exposed to many cultures. I will shop occasionally at my Local Super H-Mart.... but I go there for certain items... but will always browse for something new & (only) slightly different. Most of the time their Produce is good and fresh and USUALLY better priced than some of the Big Local chains. So I always start with the produce and then sometimes buy some steaks and pork. We recently tried some of their pre-marinated pork shoulder. It's interesting- tasty at first... but we quickly tired of it.... We should have eaten it sparingly instead of having a plate full.As I said - we try different things. The store is a huge source for all things Asian.... all kinds of frozen and pre-packed things from China and Korea and Japan. We have tried the frozen dumplings and those have quickly become our favorite. They have a huge FRESH sea food area with an amazing variety of fish, crab, eel etc...etc....etc...Over all.... I encourage my fellow non-Asian neighbors to visit the store and explore.... you never know what will be on special or what Foreign dish/item may become one of your family's new favorites.(and if you need a 15-20-40-50# bag of Rice... they have all kinds of choices too)
We were going to this store for long time now. The food is fresh but in recent year or two it gets pricier :(
