Kaiteriteri is the place to grab a comfortable ride into the park for day walks. The bigger boats leave from here and do a good job. If, however, you want to be at the start of Abel Tasman's south end, stay at sleepy Marahou. Better yet for walkers, stay at the park's north end (Eastern Golden Bay--Golden Bay Hideaway was amazing) where the summer crowds are lighter and the scenery even better!
There was so much going on from people just wanting to sunbathe on the long sandy beach,to kayaking to paddle boarding, cruises and water taxis leave from the beach
This has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand. We were here on our honeymoon in 1960 so now 2015 fifty five years between swims and we enjoyed it just as much now as we did then the beach is so sheltered and is a beautiful little town to spend a few days as it is so relaxing. Our accommodation at the Everton B&B. was just 250 meters from the beach so made our stay just wonderful. We are still in love and just love Kaiteriteri beach.
白金色的沙子,清澈的水,如画的景色,人不是很多。附近有露营地,可以买东西和厕所设施。这个地方太棒了,需要开会车才能到,但是能来到这么美的地方是值得的!
An awesome beach all hidden away. Great for swimming and there are water taxi's for bay trips. The only disappointment was that since we were traveling by car there was no green areas setup if you want to have a picnic, maybe on the beach but not fond of sand in my food. It is really worth the trip out there.
这里人很少,沙子雪白而又干净,未经污染过的海水很清澈,但是水很凉!!要注意我们是在二月份来的这里,所以不知道冬季中旬这里会有多迷人!!
Stunning views and crystal clear waters, Golden sand and lovely atmosphere. What more can ou ask for in a beach?
Extensive sandy beach and good swimming. However you have to be wary of the currents and rips! Very relaxing and beautiful scenery.
Having lived close to Kaiteriteri for 16 years, I'm still spellbound by the amazing beaches and great climate here. There are excellent choices to eat out, I'd recommend the beach-front restaurant, Shoreline or The Beached Whale just behind it. Then in 2014 Kaiteriteri became the venue for a superb mountain bike trail in the hills behind the resort, it's a very popular sport here. Kaiteriteri is close to the Abel Tasman Park, several water-taxis companies can ferry you there, or if you feel fit and energetic hire a kayak for the day :)The beach is just great for kids and families.
A beautiful beach with thick golden sand and inspiring views of the coastline,a small river estuary forms a lagoon for swimming in still waterLots of free parkingNearby toilets with showerProbably mobbed in the height of summer but just perfect now and still warm and sunny
