Sorry to say the Kamloops Golf Club doesn't measure up to others in the area. As an old traditional course it is flat so great for walking but no great challenge and bit overpriced compared to others.
We spent more money to golf here than I think is responsible BUT we really enjoyed the day and what a nice course. We golfed the day before at Eagleridge and did not like it nearly as much,
This year Kamloops Golf Course celebrates 100 years. This course is the best after all these years because it is suitable for all types of golfers, you can walk or cart it. The fairways are expansive, green and well groomed, many trees and lots of birds. Serene some times, better weather in this part of the valley and always interesting. The clubhouse offers a place to relax afterwards with a drink and a meal and catch up on the PGA. Check it out, great deals on and off the course.
The staff are friendly. They accomodated you as soon as you walked in. The course is in great shape and most relaxing and fun to play for any golfer's level. View is amazing and the trees make the place very welcoming.... We will surely come back to this golf course.....
Looked like they hosted a rodeo on some of the tee boxes. Lots of dead areas on the greens. Not very friendly to greens payers. The lady interest restaurant was very nice though.
The course is now in its 3rd full season after a major renovation and has come in magnificently. The greens are the best in town and the course is challenging for all levels of golfers. Great deals after 12:00 on most days and tee tiomes available on golfnow.com or through the Pro Shop. Great way to spend 4 hours and the staff and food are great also.Don't miss it if you are in town looking for a game.
With a massive overhaul a couple of years ago, KGCC looks and plays like new. The course is characterized by large shade trees, mostly level play (there are no significant elevation changes) and mostly well-maintained rough. Long fairways, large water hazards and good facilities on the course as well as in the clubhouse make KGCC a perennial favourite with locals. The food is good and excellent value -- things aren't overpriced. Two patios and a deck have umbrellas and/or shade trees. Inside, the gas fireplace and barbecue deck make it a comfortable gathering spot when it gets cool out.The driving range and related facilities are all excellent. I can't see a way to improve those.I've played the course many times, as have many friends, and we all enjoy it.
I am a member here but must say that in my 8 years as a member, the course is in the best shape I have ever seen! The renovations have really come in now and the course is so much more enjoyable and challenging.Staff are amazing and doing a great job!
We stayed here, loverly place, dining was very good, great place to wander around, we saw 2 baby bears
If your planning a golf holiday this year the newly renovated Kamloops golf and country club should be on your play list! New bent grass on Tees,s fairways and greens make this course a real pleasure to play! The tree lined golf course is a pleasure to walk on hot summer days provides lots of shade! This course celebrates it's 100 year that's tradition for you it is situated close to the airport so easy to get to. when you arrive the pro shop is simple yet accommodating very friendly staff and they will do there best to get you out there playing. The clubhouse is comfortable and clean although is showing signs of wear again friendly staff and a great place for a burger and cold one after your game. We've enjoyed this course tremendously over the years! You won't be disappointed.
