you should definitely visit that place-it's beautiful. You can walk around the caste and enjoy view of the park down the river...
This castle is really interesting. To get to the exhibitions you have to go up very steep steps. Great view over the old town from the top.
I visited this castle and found it is not really a castle more a round tower very little remains of the original construction the foundation of the walls ate covered by a galvanised roof And the entrance to the "CASTLE" is via a wooden bride from the west side and from the park from all other directions There are a few historic items on display with explanations inside the tower none of any particular interest I would not go out of my way to visit the tower is was only by chance I went for a walk in the park that I can upon it
Historical area with old walls of the castle, churches and nature. The castle is located on the river side which makes it look magnificent.
The castle remains can be covered pretty quickly. The exhibits inside describe the historical span on the castle - of which only some of the fortification walls remain. It's centered in a large parkland along the Nemunas and Neris river confluence and there are few spots around Kaunas more beautiful for a walk on a sunny day.
You can see this at night without a ticket, and it's worth going around for a quick visit. You don't have to go inside. You can see the moat etc. and get the feel for the past.
Beautiful though not big castle just at the river side, in a beautiful park, a nice place where to spend a few relaxing hours really close to the old town
Really nice place to visit Would recommend visiting in summer months as very cold in December But still overall enjoyed the visit
Easy to get to on a walk within the city. Wonderful castle that sits on its own at the edge of town. We were luck enough to make it as the sun was coming up and the mist was falling over the grass.
Picturesque location. A few exhibits; we spent less than an hour here. The adjacent park is nice for a walk.
